Show me where I said that. If I'm about to spend a large amount of money on something, I look it over thoroughly. Lugs included. And exactly how is your post helpful?

Well not everyone is awesome like that and remembers to check as far as the lugs when buying a car and I doubt someone who just almost had a wheel fall of off their car is looking for you to ''sympathize'' with them.

You are right but difference is I have made plenty of useful posts on the forum you seem to have 59 useless ones

When you buy a used car, I can't see bringing various torque wrenches and checking all the values before you drive off the lot, it's not practical. But if something is unusually grinding or shaking, imho the best thing to do is stop if possible. I mean this isn't Air Force One we're talking about. Now that's something--two 747's on every flight, all hand waxed each trip and every nut and bolt is in fact checked.....

Not a good idea, you could damage the car by running out of gas.


To the OP, you should have pulled over, not driven 30 miles.
Get AAA free towing for 100 miles 4 incidents a year and it's cheap, your lucky you didn't damage the fender.

Break torque, then retighten in star pattern and apply at least 75 lb/torx with a calibrated torque wrench. We do this for wingtip missile launchers in Naval Aviation thanks to the extreme forces at work and because a launcher came off of an Air Farce F-16 in midair.
