It was a DD that is quickly turning into a track car only. Spec clutch is annoying for a DD and the HPF exhaust is so loud I can't use my cell in the car. I drive it on nice days and have an old Acura TL I've been using more and more.

Good question on the transfer case side of things as I'm sure that's the weakest point in the car coming off the line. That and the open diff. Man I wish I had the cash to throw down and get an LSD with a new set of wheel and tires...maybe I'll look for some old stock wheels in the meantime.

Commonplace that anyone that disagrees or points out the obvious is a hater these days, childish at best.

Congrats on the dyno #'s, hopefully there is some accuracy to them, but don't be too dissapointed when the actual dyno #'s are nowhere close.

No offense but obviously those numbers are inflated as the xi would get at least 5-10% lower numbers from parasitic loss of the awd.

And on top of that, if this were a true mustang dyno, it should be another 10-15% lower than say dynojet numbers. Meaning if a rwd variant with the same mods as your car got dynoed on a dynojet, they'd would be seeing 600whp and 700wtq..

Trust me, I want to see big numbers on an xi, I have one also but anything over 450awhp on stock turbos is going to be very difficult since your boost is going to be tapering pretty substantially by the time you get to 5200rpms. As for the tq, that is possible to get over 500awtq due to the ability for these turbos to handle 20psi in the early rpm range where our tq is the strongest.

Read the post. It's a Mustang dyno that is calibrated to read as a dyno jet...

What the "haters" are trying to say is that those numbers seem quite a bit unrealistic, knowing the platform. And with a thread title such as "world record", you can see how the outcome can be just a tad annoying. "Some fluky XI dyno numbers" would be a much better name for the thread no offense of course, you seem to be touchy about this

So does anyone know the actual current xi dyno record? I made 408/483 on a low reading mustang dyno and am planning on going on a dynojet in the next few weeks

I did 421/462 on a dynojet a few weeks ago with a nasty exhaust leak and a meth solenoid that started spraying all over, baseline was 256/286. I have that stuff buttoned up now but haven't been back. I expect in cool air it should be in the 430-440whp range, almost an identical setup to Terry's car which recently did 481whp (although that's 6mt and rwd).

BobVadar with a 6mt did 449/473 on a dynapack quite some time ago, his baseline was 282whp. 167whp delta vs 165whp delta on my car.

Of course similar cars on similar tunes will perform similar, so this is all kind of moot anyway. Have fun with your car OP, just be prepared for some front diff and transfer case trouble when you go over 500wtq. My power goal has been met for now, the only change I may do is upgraded turbo(s), my experiments with nitrous ruined my front diff and transfer case because of almost 600wtq. Best bet for the XI in my opinion is likely the single turbo route which I've been closely watching as well.

I also have an unofficial "335xi" record 1/4 mile run from the vbox that I'm not posting up, if I can make it out to a test-n-tune later this month I might be able to get a slip to back it up. The ET was very nice but the trap still didn't manage to crack the elusive 120mph ceiling, car was at race weight.

I ran map 0 and hit 256whp with an upgraded fuel pump and BMS flash, last year on 91 I ran map 0 and hit 259whp. Although the dyno from last year looked cleaner, so I assume it was a bit happier. I actually expected my baseline this year to be higher because I had a FMIC and DPs where I didn't last year /shrug
