I let my gf drive all the time, she angles at dips, parks in corner spots etc.. she's probably more careful than me at dips to be honest since she doesn't know what she can an cannot clear so she's always careful, if your gf can't respect your car enough to be careful with it maybe you should find a new gf

Girl can't drive stick and my car scares her. She usually wants me to drive her car if we take hers out.

My car hits redline every time i drive it. How horrible would life be without hitting the redline regularly?!?!?! My wife own's a manual trans vehicle and can drive it well. She can drift, slide and donut with ease. But she refuses to drive my car because it's too low and she doesn't want to mess it up. I try to get her to drive it, but she doesn't want to. Fine by me i suppose.

Yep! The women I date (..or have dated) drive manuals. We got my ex a 128i M-Sport and she went to both ///M driving schools with me. She can whip them around pretty good. The only thing that is HARD to teach somebody is how to drive a lowered vehicle as not to tear the damn front lip off or, at the very least, scrape the living shit out of it.

I even let my mom drive my car.
I insisted that my gf drive it to familiarize with everything so when there comes a time when she has to drive it, she's familiar with it and it's no big deal. |

Nothing wrong with hitting the redline as long as the oil is up to temp.

Its just a car... get a new one every couple years... BMW's are a dime a dozen here in Charlotte. Everyone has one or two. My wife curbed her wheel, and took it in and it was fixed the next day. She bought the wheel insurance...

I'm a chick, but my boyfriend is NOT into cars (didn't even get his license until he was 21). I let him drive out of necessity, but constantly cringe and end up backseat driving quite a bit.

Not really. For most modern cars sure, but other classic and limited production cars are far more difficult to replace. Besides, who wants their insurance rates to go up if their significant other keeps damaging their car?

Some of you guys are awfully protective about your relatively slow cars. My wife drives a 335 (lowered, wheels) and she drives my M3 (lowered, wheels, tune, test pipes) whenever she wants. I'm more worried about all the other idiots out there driving around than I am my wife destroying one of our cars.

This thread is full of per-pubescent little boys. Grow the the fuck up guys. If the car means more to you than your girl then you are driving a car way out of your league. My wife drives my //m3 every weekend and i enjoy seeing the excitement it brings her.
Cars are meant to be driven not worshiped. Grow up put some hair on your sacks and learn the true meaning behind life.

Although, I'm sure there are people on here that care about their car more than a person. It is a BMW forum after all. |
