*UPDATE* Who needs their JB4, DCI, or JB4 Backend Flash or Vishnu OTS Maps Done?

So if i understand correctly there are specific maps that you have to load for the jb4?

They are not a neccessity for the JB4 to work properly, the JB4 is a standalone piggyback.. However when you stack the JB4 and flash the specific backend flashes that Terry created you transfer fueling, timing, vanos over to flash and then the JB4 controls boost

Im kinda confused, maybe someone can explain this to me.

I thought that the back end flash was for people running e85 so they could get more power outta using it (e85). I dont have e85 around me so i use 93. Would a backend flash benefit me at all? If yes, what would its benefits be?

The backend flash is really only of benefit for those people who have upgraded turbo's or want to run more than 40% e85 mix fuels... if you aren't doing that... then your better off just using the JB4 as-is. Then again... some people just like being able to say... hey i got the latest and greatest thing out there?

The backend flash is still very useful on pump 93 gas alone especially if you are a 6 speed automatic transmission.. If you are 6at it incorporates flatline fix which helps reduce the amount of post shift timing drops significantly.. This is a very big known issue for 6at's and is basically completely fixed via the flash / stack.. Also one observation I have noticed since doing the pump flash on my own personal FBO 6at is more throttle response down low and definitely better low end torque.. The flash also disables the speed limiter which also saves you money from having to purchase the SLD wires from BMS.. My car definitely runs stronger with the JB4+flash opposed to JB4 independent.
