I still think a corner loaded sub would've been the best option for you. I like bass but not annoying bass. I would sell your trunk storage enclosure, build/wait for another corner sub box, and go from there. My set up is waaay too powerful than what I need but it meshes with my HI-FI much better. And still fit my daughter's big stroller, 2 1/2 suitcases, 2 wheels, etc.

Two words: Golf Clubs

I would have gone this route the first time around if my golf clubs could still fit with a corner enclosure.

Corner enclosures are expensive to buy. They can be made cheaply, but not everyone is up to the task. With infinite baffle you just need a sub and an amp. Both would sound good, but it all depends on what your trying to achieve.

Very true, that's why I held off on this build after 2 1/2 years of waiting for a sale to come up. I bought a $100 zenclosure last year, then sold it before I really committed, good thing too.

But to fit golf clubs you have to lay them diagonally. I could get them in even with the corner enclosure installed, just have to lay them the other way around if you know what I mean. Now, if you have that super long 5 million cc driver, it's another story. That goes in the back seat, or you can stick it out the sunroof head first, to show everyone who's got the biggest stick in town.

First, I don't have a sunroof, so I can't show off my big head

I suppose I could do the diagonal golf club thing, but then they'd rub against my chrome amps which still poses a problem (currently mounted to back of seat).

I think I'll do two things:
1) Cut the ski-pass hole and see if that in itself helps (will move amps to trunk floor near back seats)
2) If that's not enough, go the next step and install the baffle for my woofer.

Thanks again to all for helping!
