The salesman went in the back to look, and found one coming off the truck - not cleaned, mats and junk in the trunk, etc. I told him that was fine, and off we went. When we got back, the sales manager was looking for it. Yep, it was already sold. But now it had 11 more miles on it.
An 11 mile test drive?? were you and the salesman getting to know eachother?? haha

I remember doing this to an M6 and getting pretty rough ride for the first 3 miles, and reported it back to the manager. He told me that is normal for M5 and M6! The cylinders need to shave off rough edges in the piston, and the rough ride is because of things needing to be broken in. Now it all makes sense.

I think anything under 20 is acceptable. Test drive cars get about 5 miles per drive, so in a day our cars take about 75miles, which would be unacceptable.
i'll probably be standing in the lot as the car pulls in on the truck with a welcome sign and balloons... i'll break in the car... i don't need some 18 year old making $6 an hour to have a free ride in my car... cause if i were him id be doing 90mph+ and who can blame him? haha

for your information, I make $13 an hour... it is an awsome collage student job though, and I basically got it without an interview from the knowledge I have learned from this board!

I would never do anything that would "open up" a car. I respect you guys too much to do anything but baby you cars. I just get mad when you drop it off fro service with a half-eaten lunch that is a week old. HORRIBLE!

maybe when you can spell college right you will trick us into thinking you work on bmw's hahahahah

and we can leave whatever we want in OUR cars... we can take a nice big wet shit in the back seat and let it steam up nice and good before handing it in for service... after all... your making $13 an hour... u shouldn't care... thats big money :-)
