This question will lead to the answer of what claim you have in dollars. PS: Sorry not trying to give you a hard time, just checking to see if you are wasting your time and money. VCAT is there to resolve legal disputes. eg: If there has been wear and tear on your vehicle because the dealer said he fixed it but he didn't then you need a dollar figure on it to claim from the dealer. Good Luck |

have you advise them you'll be taking this matter to VCAT? perhaps they will back off, fix your car, settle the matter if you write a letter of demand threaten to proceed with legal proceedings. Mostly likely the matter will be settled before going to the tribnual given they are a large entity / dealer.

Did you buy your car new?
Did you buy your car under an extended warranty? Is your car still in warranty? Did you buy your car second hand? You DO realise you could save 50% of the cost by working on your own car? You DO realise that BMW doesn't do Toyota priced servicing? Did they charge you for anything - the diagnosis? The loan car? $3,000 seems like a fair price for servicing, loan car, diagnosis and replacement of six injectors by a BMW shop. Hell, it can cost $1,000 for a basic 12 month service. Just wait until you start to suffer the typical BMW 100k km oil leaks... in my extensive European experience love the car, love the expense, or drive Lexus... or better yet. drive Mazda for the same Zoom Zoom feeling. Good luck with the complaint - we're all hoping you get treated as a premium BMW driver but, alas, BMW generally seems to want people to drive new cars under warranty only - after that, find a decent indie shop - you'll save and get decent indie advice. im a mechanic by trade i know critical components shouldn't fail that early. i have a 1994 nissan 300zx over 200.000km still with factory fuel injectors. Even holden commodore ve with direct fuel injectors over 150.000km with same injectors. Bmw say they make highest quality. At a price tag of over $100.000 you would expect more then 5 years service life from critical components. The over sad thing is i was first told that the fuel injector technical campaign doesn't a pply to my car by bmw australia then i was told by bmw doncaster yes my car does and 2 fuel injectors were replaces under the campaign but they cant provide me with any proof. According to them that was done at 32.000km 500km before i took ownership.... As far as the loan car goes i got my car always serviced by bundoora bmw its been payed by the rip off prices i pay for the servicing. But im not complaining about money... Im complaining about the quality.
