I just had my car done. I have the MOST-bus interface. Scrolling seems faster. All the comments about driving already mentioned here are correct. I still have accessrestrictions in the "Artists" playlist. I cannot get past "S" labeled artists. I have 1200 plus songs on my iPod.

would this smoother acceleration stuff effect PROcede members?... Like will it mess up anything that the PROcede offeres. In other words, after getting this update with the procede installed, will this make your car run slower because it's changing things?

maybe it's just me... But when i took my car in to get software update for the idrive, when my car came out, i felt a little loss of power. Not a lot, but i felt a little loss in torque and hp... DO you guys think it was the software upgrade or software upgrades don't effect piggy back?

I don't have anything else to compare it too, so I would say it works good. My only problem (still) is that I have over 1300 songs on my iPod and I can't seem to get past "S" in the "Artist" playlist. No horror story here. I think it was worth the money.

I don't think there was any loss of power. It seems alot smoother now (transmission) than before

http://www.bmwtis.com/tsb/bulletins/...p/B010306g.htm SITUATION Labor associated with Programming/Coding may be claimed under Warranty when performed as part of a vehicle repair, and is covered under the terms of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. In addition, Programming/Coding may be claimed under Warranty when it is part of a Service Action or Recall. This Service Information introduces the six allowable reasons that software update programming may be claimed under Warranty. OVERVIEW There are constant improvements and enhancements to BMW products that result in new software releases. However, it is not BMW policy to constantly update vehicles with new software as it becomes available. This practice is time consuming, costly, and in most cases, offers no tangible benefits to the customer. In situations where BMW identifies potential customer complaints, the fixes are integrated into the diagnostic test plans, and/or announced via a SIB. If the test plans have been completed, and SIBs reviewed without identifying a software update fix, there is no reason to believe that a new version of software may correct a customer complaint. The six allowable reasons that software update programming may be claimed under Warranty are as follows: Programming was required after control module replacement. Programming was required in a Service Information Bulletin to address the customer complaint or a Service Action/Recall. A Programming Validation Code (GW Code) was provided at the end of a diagnostic test plan. Programming was recommended following a PuMA contact. Programming was recommended following contact with a Field Service Engineer. Software update programming was required as part of an electronic accessory installation* Warranty claims for software update programming for any other reasons will not be considered for payment. *IMPORTANT: The installation of some accessories such as satellite radios and CD disc changers require a change to the Vehicle Order (VO). This function is carried out using the "Retrofits" section of Progman. When connecting to Progman to perform the "Retrofit Coding", the Status Report will indicate if a software update is required. This software update must be performed before the "Retrofit coding" can be carried out.

So going by the information above, if I go to a center to get the MOST-Bus iPod adapter installed they will have to automatically update my progman to the most current one since they need to initiate "retrofit coding" right?
