My first 'suspension' mod will be to get rid of these run flats. Honestly I don't need the fastest or best handling car but I'm glad people are taking their D's there. Pss9's and some camber plates would be awesome but I'm not going to go there...yet...

Going to visit the Greek family in Chicago this weekend. Looking forward to putting some miles on their 328d.

I agree with you but dealers know that the majority of people wouldn't notice what you did so they play the odds. Good to hear man. I'm sure you'll like the 328d as well but you'll miss the power of the 335d.

328 was a nice ride and did great on the highway!! What a bummer with this dealership. I'll elaborate later but will say if I could do it again I would avoid them. Once they have your $$ it's game over. The service dept was nice but then again it was a minor fix that they covered....as they should have. So I've had the car for a little over a month and it hasn't been right. Bad paint, rusty 1/4 panel, Have 2 bubbled front tires. Bahh!!

I am going throe the similar experience with the CPO, to be honest I don't think they do any inspections but waiting for the new owner so they can fix it under the warranty and get paid for it. I had so many issues with my car that I can honestly say that yes, CPO is good to have but for sure certification was not done or done properly. Everything I see and point out they play stupid like they have not seen it before but I know when my friend was returning another BMW she leased they went to so many details of checking that every single scratch was pointed out and charged. But that does not say they will fix it before someone else takes the ownership, who knows maybe they will not notice and dealer will make extra money on it.
For sure it is not what I was expecting from the higher end dealer.

Well got the car back a few days ago and the bumper is chipping again. The prep job appears to be a hack job.

Why someone cut $100 corners on a luxury car to lose a potential customer is a mystery to me

Cars back in for paint again. There going to do the 1/4 panel and strip the bumper of old paint this time. The 535i loaner with balloon tires is kinda nice on the crappy MI roads.

THX!! Good to have it back. That dealership still appears to be a bunch of hacks. Nice in person of course but their talk is talk. This stuff is just too obvious.

After some rain today I took the traction control off. This car is too much fun. Really need to find an empty parking lot and get used to the rwd.

Oh and if anyone is interested I bought the car from Yark BMW in Toledo, OH.

So which method did you use to take out the front lower bumper grilles? Surely they didn't just pop out.

Took the bumper off. Not completely, left some lines attached. Unbolted it so I cold get my hands in there.

Car told me I had 900 miles left on the rear brakes. It looks like that is just a recommendation. Pads have plenty of life left on them. Rotors had almost no lip either.

That's a rather conservative estimate based on the look of your pads... unless somehow it's able to factor in the rate of wear, your driving style, brake usage, etc. Still, it appears that you have a good bit of life left in those brake pads.

I love those 740i wheels on your car. I was curious if they would fit and how they would look. But looks like you answered my questions for me.

Well, I drove to the west side of the state last weekend with '900 miles left' on the pads. Changed them 4 days later with 900 miles left. So it does use some sort of ummm 'intelligent' information but it's just way off. Fronts are do in 6000 miles. I'll do a visual inspection before wasting $$ changing 1/2 worn bits.

How'd your ride hold up over the winter with these roads? I'm free most of next week if you have some time to meet up.

THX!! The M Parallel's...I got a descent deal on them including rubber when I was itching to get rid of the RFT. The rears are almost too wide with the offset. But I do like the look and appreciate you recognizing the throwback wheels. The rear fenders needed to be rolled. Fronts are ok. Looking forward to putting them back on once the weather clears up for the season.

I didn't drive my 335d much this winter and definitely didn't drive it in the snow. I'm using my Jetta TDI for winter duties. Plus, I plan to pull my intake manifold, check for CBU and perform cleaning if necessary. Then on to a catch can install and meth injection. The 335d has been amazing so far! My Jetta TDI is very good for what it was designed to do (excellent fuel economy), but it's no comparison to the comfort and performance of the 335d.
