Cost isn't an issue. It's about the downtime and constant fuckups of a turbo charged car. There's always something "not right"

Riick, When i said non turbo cars i was referring to all cars, but the same goes for High HP engine cars in high end models like BMW, Lexus, Ferrari, Lamborgeni ect... Stick to a Camaro/mustand if you want a fast semi reliable car with low repair costs. An M3 could cost you more than a 335 at the end of the day when it comes to basic repairs.

To him they are always in a state of perpetual disrepair and every single one will suffer a disastrous failure. In turn this will leave you broke, divorced and doing shameful things for money in an alleyway at 3am. Just move along... ![]() |

I was pretty dead set on getting a 335, even test drove 4-5 of them, but since I rarely would use that extra power, I decided to test drive a 328 and see if it would be sufficient for me. Since I come from a handful of Japanese 4-cylinders, the inline-6 had enough low-end torque for me to be happy.
I ended up buying a 2011 328i w/ xDrive and couldn't be happier. There have been a few times when I feel like it falls flat in terms of sheer "fun" factor when mashing down the pedal, but overall the car is great for daily driving. My wife wants me in a larger car though, so if I move up to a 5er, I feel like I would need some extra juice to get that extra weight moving along. |

Ouch. I think you'll definitely miss the power. EDIT- I see it's an F30. Isn't that a 4 cylinder turbo? I think it's right around 260 HP. In sport mode, it'll be enough I think. GL!

To each their own. Power delivery on the N54 is outstanding IMO. And if early reviews are valid, the F8x M has better power delivery than the E9x M3.

+1 The power delivery of the N54 is almost instantaneous. Much less lag then older turbo cars.

I personally couldn't lose the power. But it is the smarter financial choice. Best of luck with your decision. I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever you decide brotha
