See and that surprises me as I thought it couldn't get any worse than their automatics.

I've never given most Merc's a second look but I have to say that while not perfect, it's a whole lot more interesting that the current 3 series lineup. As it stands now, I'd take a C400 or C450 over a 335 or 335IS in a heartbeat.

I mean seriously, what has BMW done with the performance oriented non-M 3 in the past 7 years other than make the design worse and continue to offer the same engine - minus one turbo......

BMW turned into a Apple. They stopped innovating because they have enough fanboys that will continue to buy their product regardless of what they make.

I have a feeling, this C450 is gonna be very close to the C63 in price when you tack on a few options

If that's the case, I'd rather pony up the extra 3k or so and get the C63AMG

At facelift this C450 could then get a close to 400 PS I6. That is almost M3 F80 in terms of numbers.

C450 completely reveled in wagon form. No camo at all.

Those are the first photos I've seen where the rear looks a little dumpy; kind of heavy and smudged in the detailing.

That C450 wagon looks really good. I hope they bring that to the US.

The bottom line is that German carmakers are selling more cars by manipulating the old small, medium, large business model. Dunno what the replacement parts industry will do to cope with this a few years out, could get real complicated.

But it works at the bank.
