Thanks for the inspiration BoondogUK. I just did mine using the same paint and despite my poor spraying skills it cam out quite well.

Brilliant job - looks very good.

How does this hold against scratches, etc.

Silver trim sprayed in black may show up scratches quite a bit - no?

Well, I guess this is always a risk. I resprayed because there were a few scratches in the original silver.

I ensured that the trim has a solid prime and did a good few coats of the matt black to ensure a solid base and top coat, ensuring it had correct curing time... so I guess I have done everything that the original coat would have had.

I've not scratched it yet, and imho worth the effort

Cheers - really stuck between spraying like yours and wrapping. Out of curiosity, how much wrap would i need for a 4 door ?
