Well, there is a restaurant called Newcomb's Ranch halfway in the course but it is swamped with bikers every Sunday. Not sure how crowded it gets on Saturdays though. I'll look for something in the La Crescenta area and update everyone on it since that's the city closest to the west entrance of the highway.

Maybe we should also check the gas stations in the area that have diesel Would be kind of funny if a bunch of cars would end up running empty on the Angels Crest highway due to lack of "d".

There are a couple of firest fires around San Diego today, hopefully that won't happen anywhere close to our driving route this weekend.

Haha. That's funny. On a bad day on a road trip you can get 500 miles on a tank. I got 26+ mpg on both the tanks that included days at the track with HPDE. Even if you started out from San Ysidro you could fill up at the start of the day and have enough to make it back.

Ok gents. Here's where we'll meet up this Saturday, 5/17 @ 11am:

Sports Chalet (roof parking)
2 chalet Dr, La Cañada Flintridge, CA 91011

Luckily, there is a Shell gas station nearby the corner selling diesel fuel and currently it's around $4.23 so it's not that bad.

Weather conditions is estimated be sunny, clear, 75 and rising at the time of our meet.

As for food and chatting afterwards, we'll all decide from a few places I found around the area once we gather up.

I'll be PM'ing the attendees with my cell phone number if you have any questions or simply to reach me if you show up a little late on Saturday so we don't leave you in the dust.
