Because it's all just variations on the same concept - CREE emitters heatsinked to an H8-shaped base and wired up to a constant-current driver. Not to mention the fact that there's only a handful of actual factories in Shenzhen that are churning these things out before they get branded and sold.

You may know what your talking about in regards to emitters and drivers but majority of my clientele doesn't even know what you just said LOL. That stuff is not usually listed in the specifications on ebay so it would be pretty hard to shop for specific drivers and know how they tick without contacting each seller. I doubt everyone goes to those extremes. No, in fact the majority of ebay buyers simply buy on ebay cause it's cheaper and "look similar". You get what you pay for. It's true. How do I know? Cause every day I get at least one guy crying he bought something on ebay and wants the better stuff. So far that I actually thank ebay.

We buy ebay stuff too for testing and comparison.

There is a reason we say we have better quality products then others and that's because we've bought the competition and./or have tested samples from various manufactures before listing the products we list.

HPB personally has test rigs where we test products and we test products beyond normal conditions to see how soon if ever they fail.

Also, it would be nice to see people supporting vendors that keep this forum going...

Edit: On a second note if price is the only factory just let me know. I have access to a few different manufacturers but you won't see my warrantying those products. Last thing I want to offer is failure prone products.
