OP - the EVO 335i Tourer long termer was from 2007, DAB is a lot better since then.

I love it in mine, crystal clear, can't fault it. Rarely drops out.

No you need the DAB module that goes in the boot.

No issues with DAB in mine, always crystal clear and lots of stations. BBC usually strongest.

However, more importantly, in a few years time there will be NO analogue, therefore if you're speccing a new car, it's essential imo.

mine is a 2007 and its fab, drops out a little, strangely it usually occurs exactly on the hour just as the news is coming on. Very noticable difference when i tune back to FM and certainly AM. Well worth the money.

Love DAB (got 2 Pure DAB radios and the Teac one as part of my hifi system) but been reluctant to go for it in a car due to dodgy reports.

Sounds like an essential item for the next car though.

Have had 2 coupe's; first had dab with logic 7 and thought this was simply fantastic, the dab occasionally failed but not often enough to be tiresome.

The latest one has neither the dab or the logic 7 and I really miss them. The FM is rubbish on this coupe and our 123d is far better having an external aerial. It does however have a TV which I'm not really interested in (never tried it) but according to the sales man it has an upgraded sound system, which sounds good but if memory serves me right is not as good a the logic. Not 100% sure just remember the logic being fabulous.

But more importantly I think the dab is being upgraded to dab 2 so all the older dab radios will have to be modified as some time in the future. A bit of a mess really, not known when this will take place and if FM will be replaced as the carriers (I think) for dab 2 will use these frequency bands. This is all hearsay so maybe someone has better inside info than me.

Did ask Sytners advice about retro fitting but difficult/expensive so gave up trying.
