Thats good news, think i'm just getting last minute nerves. Also the adjusters came in the pack so hopefully won't have to order any.

Will probably get them fitted sometime next week by Wheels in Motion. I have new tyres to go on, so should i put them on before the ohlins/alignment, or after so i can compare grip levels for a while with my current tyres?

Also think i may fit swift thrust sheets too.

Lol i'm a bloody idiot. Forgot you had a D! Perhaps i can claim the title of the first Ohlins on a 335D...

Anyways you're the one who got me hooked on Ohlins. Why did you let me drive your car

Update on fitting. Will probably get them fitted at the end of this month, but not by wheels in motion. Might just go there for the alignment.

Booked in for next Tuesday. Then an alignment a week after, can't wait!

What alignment settings would you recommend?

I was going to go Wheels in motion but its their policy to do an alignment straight away. I want to wait a week at least for them to settle and choose a ride height. They quoted me £430 for fitting and alignment.

I settled with Northampton Motorsport, who have links with race teams, Silverstone and an official Ohlins service centre, so they should do the job nicely. They do everything there including corner weighting and alignment with a Hunter machine. Going to get them fitted next Tuesday, then corner weighted and aligned the following week.

Fitting they said £288. Corner weighting and alignment is £80 for the first hour then £60/hour after.

Did you get the B14 kit then?

My advice would be to get the alignment done straight away. My Ohlins set up didn't 'settle' at all. There's no need to wait in my view...

Really? I also thought it might be a good idea to drive it for a week and decide on a ride height, then align.

Oops better make it clear i'm not angry at HP Autowerks. It was bloody parcelforce. I mean i can accept the VAT charge but when their handling charge is more you know you're getting bum fucked! Fitting is on Tuesday so i'm going to go to the depot tomorrow and pick them up in person!

Apparantly the sheets help with compression/rebound of the springs, and i thought why not they are not expensive compared to the springs shocks.

Thanks mate. Can't keep the 1M bumper i messed up and didn't budget enough for:

Ohlins fitting £290
Corner weighting and alignment £140 +
ATF change
SS brake line install
Brake fluid flush
PAS fluid change

All next week! No way i'll wait for next month to do ohlins. But yeah its a shame i wish i could keep the bumper. Might have to do it after the tracking season!

Just thought i'd post some initial thought of the PSS tyres with my stock suspension.

Amazing grip. Dry and wet, i have to push much harder than previous Vreds/Goodyears to flash the DSC light. Also, the rear feels even more "squishy" with these tyres. Feels like the tyres are stuck to the road but the frame wants to go sideways. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a symptom of the increase in grip i guess.

I will increase the rear tyre pressures by 4psi and see what happens as well.

I wonder how the Öhlins will affect the rear "squishyness". Perhaps it might not do anything, perhaps it will?

Thrust sheets have arrived. Just trying to convince myself it was worth spending nearly £90 on some circular rings of metal

Problem is, you'll never know what it would have been like without them if you hadn't fitted them...
