That is sad they started to sell it. But I am not surprised. Plenty of people out there selling HDD, SSD and Laptop preloaded with ISTA.

Great idea.
Hopefully also keeps the link away from greedy BMW too.
Such a shame they don't support the diy/hobbyist enthusiasts who bring so much love and attention to their brand.

Anyone have any other ideas that can keep the links safe?
10 posts are pretty easy & quick to fudge...

Unfortunately you will never get rid of those scumbags completely.
I don't think restricting access will make it harder for them, in fact they will get more customers since it will all be harder to find for free.
It might get taken down less frequently though.
If they were just sharing the files from your folders why not just put a huge "YOU GOT SCAMMED IF YOU PAID FOR THIS" banner?

you could encrypt it all and require the key to unlock it, but then you'll be dealing with key requests.

I'm super bummed the repo is gone. I guess I should backup all my install files now.

Has anyone else used Jok3r5's ista from the large software collection he has? I downloaded off of his pcloud and tried to install ista and somehow bricked my hard drive. Its locked as read only and i cant format in cmd or with partition software I also have been trying to get ahold of him since monday but he hasnt been on

No problem here. More likely the large amount of data being transferred stressed the disk to failure.
