Oh, I see. When you and others rub in over and over again that Hamilton won (a lot) simply because his car was a rocket and he had no competition, that’s fair. But when I remind you that so did Verstappen and a few other drivers, I’m diggging up old history. Understood. Brilliant.

You don't get it. I said it was off topic. Reactive to your post.
You can say the same when another person makes a claim to something that happened years ago.

And when someone here says (as your referral 'you and others') that Hamilton won (a lot) simply because his car was a rocket and he had no competition, that pretty much automatically means it's a reactive post. So reactive on something a Hamilton fan says about what Hamilton achieved in the past.

Get your bearings straight on who says what first; which posts are active and which posts are reactive.

Many on this forum have been pro Max, he can do no wrong and let's be clear he is an amazing talent. But he still needs a GOOD car that is doing what HE wants it to do with his quite unique driving style, if he doesn't have that and doesn't perform. But lets also be frank he has NEVER yet had a true top team made, yes someone pretty good, others definitely not but he has always pushed away from having someone strong and has all resources JUST pointed to him. More than ever he has the car he wants and the No.2 gets the scraps.

Unfortunately in part F1 has moved that way in these cost conscious ways, but come on doesn't even one Max fanboy think it would be interesting to get someone to sit alongside him with some genuine talent.

As for a Max is great Lewis is average again, this is a sport where respect is key. They are both amazing talents that are head and shoulders to their rivals when they at one with the car. They can make it do things their team mates often just can't. All of this mine is better than yours is just silly and where some need to take a step back and respect that.

Just stumbled into a full universe of F1 maniacs here at Bimmerpost

I‘m following F1 since the 90s with drivers like Schumacher (&#128016, Villeneuve, Hill, Häkkinen on the grid and my favorite underdog team Minardi.

Today I came across this gem about Charles‘ lap times. Really impressive to see this accuracy.

Seems that the average speed was within 1kmph of being the fastest average speed ever as well, impressive indeed.

The lap times are like a metronome. The talent and the passion has always been there. Now it's time for the Scuderia to give Charles a car that can win titles.

LEC always had the skill and talent to delivery, it’s just that Ferrari keeps failing him with either a unreliable car or just s—t strategy with a pit wall sometimes occupied by clowns.

Verstappen 2023 Monza best quali lap: 1:20.307
Verstappen 2024 Monza best quali lap: 1:19.662

The RB 20 may not be what Max wants it to be, but it's better than where it was last year. Max was 0.3 seconds faster year over year.

Interestingly, Checo was 0.6 seconds faster year over year...

The two of you are like twins in your fanaticism, you will get on well together. But neither see each others point of view or how biased either is it’s funny. Most of us are really enjoying it keep it up both.

I really wonder why we didn't see you guys last year .
I mean when MAX won 10 races in a row . It was a new record in the F1 history (!)
And 19 wins in just 'one season was another F1 record in the 2023 season.
Your pain must have been terrible to see that...

It was really boring without you guys .But hey welcome back ..
Can't wait to see your boy LEW in red .

I don't know how long you've been watching F1, people go long on one stopper all the time. Especially when you want to convert a mere podium to a win, you'd give it a go, why wouldn't you? Unless your name is McLaren, then you want to make sure you don't win and only take a podium.

Sometimes tires explode even when they are within spec (happened a lot in the past usually with Max until Pirelli raised the minimum tire pressure).

I'm also not sure if you realise that hards for some circuits are softs on others. This compound is the same compound as the Hungary race so Ferrari knows it will go the distance anyway.

Tire exploding was the least of Ferrari's worries, degradation and getting passed by a racy Papaya was Charles' only concern. But if his mate Sainz had taught him anything on strategy, having track position and a 20s advantage, if there was a safety car you get a free pitstop, so he had nothing to lose by going long. The worst case scenario he finish where he would have finished.
