Hey F_B_IS, would it be possible for you to take pics of the modifications you did to your sideskirts? It would also be great if you could take a picture of how exactly the modified portion improves fitment.

Personally, I had no problems fitting mine but for ppl just getting their skirts or if I could further improve the fitment on my set, it would be greatly appreciated..

They have worked very hard to try to get us a perfect product and they have done well in what I think will make 95% of the GB happy. I completely agree M-Force is a very good vendor and I am happy they are on the forum. They may be guilty of not realizing how long this project would take, but it has not been for a lack of effort. Frank also admits some communication break downs, but in terms of quality replica parts, I have never seen a better company.
Are you serious?? Bought the v2 from a different member and was very disappointed with the fitment and quality of the sides. Been reading alot of negative feedback on this vendor. Personally i have never bought anything from Mforce so i dont have an opinion as to their service. Just hope the v3 skirts are the "holy grail" for all those who are waiting. To be honest, i shouldve bought the oem m3 sides from LT. But oh well...life goes on

Each set has vastly improved fitment. There only real issue at this point is lengthening the driver's side skirt on the front about 2 mm to fit perfectly. My guess is 95% will be extemely happy at this point.

It probably won't help too much because everyone will need to assess the fitment and open the mounting points as necessary. Any body part I have added to the car always takes a little tweaking. Again, we need more about 2 mm more length on the front of the driver's side skirt because tweaking cannot fix that.

Thors, a pointed file will work fine!

Can't you just dremel it down to size instead of changing out the screw? I mean dremel the head on it to half its height and you should be golden...My pair for some strange reason didn't have this problem of bulging out from that particular nut....It is flushed as can be on both sides....My only problem as you know was the driver's side length...I went to a mini-meet yesterday and those skirts stood out like a champ out of the rest! Alot of people gave it a BIG THUMBS UP!!

So, what's going on with these then? Are they going to take a couple more months to make another version?

I would not think so, it is so close to perfect that it shouldn't take more time than that!!!

I just worry that if I grind it down that I will not be able to get a socket on it later.

ThorsHammer....are you sure that you have correctly pushed the tabs into the fender....Those tabs look like they are not pushed in all the way....I realize that there is some fitment issues described by some of the members that received there version 3, but nothing like the ones you have shown in the pics....Look at my pics...I can't understand how it can be so off from the skirts that Former Boosted IS and I received because they came from the same mold....The fitment issues we were both speaking of was underneath carriage holes where the bolts go, those didn't line up...The first thing is to get the skirt underneath the cover on the bottom, then close the door not all the way but enough to make the skirt not fall off, then goto the front and get the front part into place making sure to push the tabs into the ledges that the tabs go into...Once thats done go and pop the back on into the green grommets....Then put all the rivets and bolts back on...

The body shop I use only works on top-tier cars, like Ferrari, Mercedes, BMW, and Porsche. These guys know what they're doing. They said there is nothing on the driver's side skirt...at the front...to latch onto the car. The passenger side is perfect, though, so I don't know.

To make matters worse, both sides are cracking (badly) right at the door jam. The driver's side is also cracked at the rear.

Anyway, the point is they said that the driver's side skirt does not look the same as the passenger side, and that is what is causing the problems. I'm taking it back on Monday and they're going to see what they can do.

This is the worst decision I have ever made with a car. I regret ever buying these stupid ass skirts.

Oh...I thought you did it yourself, but if you took it to a shop and the body shop couldn't get it to fit on the driver's side, then there must be something wrong with your pair of skirts....Sorry to hear about this, I hope they can make it right for you....If the driver's side fit as good as the passenger, would you be happy or still disappointed with the skirts?

You probably had the same problem I did, the front side of the left skirts did not have front tabs, so you can't install it to the car. I had the same thing happened to me on my version 2 of the skirts.

I'd be happy if it were the same, except for the fact that the passenger's side is cracking also. Fitment is good, but their is clearly stress/tension on it causing it to crack.

There are definitely no tabs on the driver's side. I just took it off to look. It's just a straight wedge with no indention or way for the clip to secure.

Do I REALLY have to now fuck with MForce to try and get replacements? God help me.

So they were just junked? What should I do? They're talking about gluing it on. I really don't want to do that though because I want to return to stock and part out when I finally trade/sell the car.

They also say they can fix the cracking, but clearly that's going to cost me money.

I'm beyond pissed.

Yup, that's exactly what happened to my version 2 skirts. Just ask for a refund if you don't want to wait another month for another version. I got my refund, so I think m-force is good on that aspect. I ordered some m3 skirts from Longtran, hopefully I won't have to go through 6 months, 2 shipments, and $200 wasted on body shops to get them on.

Don't do it, my body shop told me even if you glue the front part on its bad, cause its not installed how its suppose to. Basically anything that needs to be glued to stay on is not good. Also what happens if you need to replace the skirts later on? You're just paving a road for more problems later on. Either get a replacement or go a different route is my suggestion.

Just got my skirts snapped on.

Initial impression....-_-

Its short in front on the driver side, small bulge on that side also.

On passenger side, the rear part is short, and has 1 bulge also.

Overall not bad, but they really should be perfect by this point.

Paint quailty looks excellent btw.

Pics soon, maybe after ufc 100.

Some adjustments at a bodyshop would prob help. Overall, mine are like 90 %.

EDIT: passenger side is 95%.

Why can't Frank chime in???

Hello, Frank?!

I know there are a lot of people sitting on the fence waiting to pull the trigger on these, but not whilst there are all these problems; so it'll be in their best interests to sort this mess out.
