![]() And one more question, I did not find in this tread any try just to load 3.0 firmware by WinKFP and to get real 330i. I`ve done this many times with ME7.2 when my frends swap 3.5l to 4.4l on E39. I eaven load 4.6is firmware to one of my 2001 540i to get M5 instrument cluster works with oil temp and rpm lights. In this way, there will be no need of expensive ECU tune and it will be completely OEM as I love it. According ETK all 323i N52, 325i N52, 325xi N52, 330i N52, 330xi N52 share the same hardware of MSV70 DME and it should be no problem ![]() |

Yes, probably 1000+ people. BMW did not make it that easy. You will be able to flash the software with Winfkp but the parameters section of the file is flagged with a byte that marks it suitable for a particular powerclass. Written into a protected section of your eprom is a different powerclass. The Mismatch will cause an error and limp mode. I found that I could "fix" the parameters but I could not get it flashed over ODB, In the end I used a BDM and I'm now running a complete new program from a higher powerclass car. |

Hey!
e90pilot did it work on software version BMW 330i ? Does it have to be the software from AA? I am from Poland. I would have a problem with flashing software from AA . Regards!

I was a victim of flashing 330i software (car went into limp mode). Can you be more specific about the powerclass in the eprom?

it's a single byte in the parameter space. I think it's set to 01 on the high output cars, and 00 on everything else. If it doesn't match the powerclass that's stored with the ISN, then it goes into limp mode.
on MSV70 it may be possible to edit the ISN to change it to a higher power class, but it requires BDM, so if you have BDM to do that you could just change the byte in the parameter space. And BDM doesn't work on MSV80 or later. |

newer galletto clones maybe? I dunno.
if I knew how to program (for real, anyway) I'd be working on something like BMWflash for E9x and E6x.. lol. But, I barely qualify for an amateur.. |

Don't really need access to the ISN anyways. Just a good flasher tool with checksum and RSA work around. But it would always be nice to build a backclone up DME |

confirm junkyard manifold is correct?
Hi all,
I'm looking at a junkyard intake from a 2010 X3, unknown mileage. I want to swap into my 2013 328i (e92/N52). The part looks like a good 3 stage intake manifold to me. I asked them to take a picture of the white barcode label on the part, which shows a QR code and the following numbers: N52 B30 OL KP LM164 754802706 51750610 07041902199 Is this the right thing? I plan to rebuild both DISA valves with this: https://vanos-bmw.com/repair-kit-for...-n52-n52n-n52k |

Can't tell you if the part is right. After googling the numbers, it seems like it it is, but without pictures it's hard to confirm 100%. Also, you can score a 3im on http://www.car-part.com/ Select following: 2010 BMW 328i "intake manifold". On the next window it will ask you which engine. Select N51 (that is low emission engine which came with 3im from the factory). |

It seems like the manifold was rolled in mud or something. I would recommend stipping it down and cleaning it thoroughly before installing it on your car. Also, get new set of rubber seals and new bolts. Remove DISA valves and inspect them. Make sure there is no play. Also, if you really want to inspect them, hook them up to wires (connectors) and rev up your engine. They will open and close as RPM climb and drop. |

Does the "BMW" cover for the intake transfer from a single stage to a 3 stage without a problem? I don't see it included with the salvage unit I'm thinking of buying.
