Actually, Valley Forge National Park is nearby

We have some amazing twisties in the area (much better than New Hope, believe it or not) but I won't go there for fear of getting from the club.

I like the New Hope area idea - lots to do, it is central to most, would not be as crowded as last time.

Or, anything in the Princeton area? Really, any place with a bar will do just fine.

Some of them are quite nice.

Personally, I have no objection to a meet that is in JackMac's back yard. It certainly isn't a prerequisite that everyone must travel some certain distance. It's pretty amazing that we all still meet considering the distance between me and Steve, but good times are worth the travel.

I think we need to consider the purpose or goal of this meet before we decide on a location. If the idea is a small GTG with the usual small crowd then we have many options that may or may not include overnight stay, etc. But if the purpose of the meet is a Week 10 reunion and we want to open the invitation to the entirety of the original Week Tenners plus assorted special guests, then I think we should plan on a location that is as central as possible for the majority and is conducive to a car meet - in other words, someplace we can all park safely and comfortably together - with some amount of recreation planned or at least a good way to kill a few hours together.

Sounds more and more like New Hope Area is the front runner, which is OK with me. Without a crafts festival going on, it should be more user friendly. It worked for those that participated last year and if we mix up the cruise a little, it should be good for all. If we start the meet in the AM, with a nice cruise before too much other car traffic gets on the roads, we may be able to take advantage of the Sunday Brunch @ Lambertville Station http://www.lambertvillestation.com/buffet.pdf

^ Thats a great idea for lunch. Very interesting food choices. Theres another really nice drive to a an airport called Van Sant where they do a lot of glider and bi-plane flying. When Im with my Ducati crew, we ride out there a lot. Great back roads(off River Rd) too.

We know that airport, LZ drove up on the runway the day we scouted the ride ...that's why we let JackMac's wife take the lead the day of the cruise....

That was simply an homage to BMW's legacy as an airplane engine manufacturer. Where is your sense of history and tradition!! Besides, unlike said leader of the drive, I did manage to keep it on four wheels.

Oh, and I think we all understand why you are so gung ho on New Hope

BTW, all the time we thought that the BMW Roundel depicted a propeller, the actual origin is from the Bavarian flag:

Yeah, I saw that too - but I think the truth is both. The configuration is easily a spinning propeller and if you've seen the early logos, they actually superimposed the roundel design onto the front of an airplane. Clearly the color choices are in reference to the Bavarian flag.
