anyone know about NC inspection and deleting the cats? I made a post a while back and really need some direction about it... here is what I wrote:

question about NC inspection....

I am thinking of doing 2 things here and would like some feedback.

1st- deleting the 2nd cats. I have a 330 and already have a res delete and custom exhaust. will deleting the 2nd cats fail inspection?

second question- If I get headers, it will delete the primary cats. will this fail inspection? I would have 2nd cats in place, but am wondering of it would fail since primary cats are gone?

please let me know. Dying for some more power here, and the best way for my car is for those cats to go!

Happy Turkey-Day. I totally know what you're saying about BMW involvement and NC. I live in Raleigh and have yet to really connect with any other people in the BMW world here. I'm 35 y/o, most people my age I guess buy cars and feel tuning is for the young kids. I think differently!

Hi. New E90 owner. Hate hate hate the base stereo. Is there a local BMW audio expert/installer in the Triangle area that can provide quality and experienced guidance on upgrades? I have read the BSW Stage 1, etc upgrades.

I really like the guys at the Best Buy at Southpoint mall. I have gone there for hardwiring help, and seen them install quality stereo systems. upgraded stereo int my thing, but they do a good job. I like my logic 7.

I live in Raleigh near Wake forest area. I don't know where everyone else is located, it seems no-one really posts much on this "NC Board". I'm trying to get it fired up so there can be better communication and more help + resources for things such as tuning help and the like. There are a lot of other regional forums where they meet regularly and help each other with mods and upgrades and just overall getting together figuring things out. I haven't yet really identified that for the Triangle, however I'm also just digging in to the forums over the past month or two.

Stereo Upgrade - Try Creative Acoustics or Sound Station and Security.They compete with one another but both have a reasonable reputation.

If you have a grand to spend, might I suggest a tune+some exhaust work, you'll never want to hear the radio again

Have you heard anything about Acoustic Audio in Hillsborough? The guys at Performance BMW recommended and use them for audio upgrades.

Where is everyone from in NC? Any triangle owners who know about BMW clubs or get together. I read about the car online, but just want to get to know another group of tuners to get togeter with and learn from, I placed a JB3 and DCI alone, but with a Video and all who could "f" that up right? As for DPs etc it would be nice when the time came to have an extra set of hands or eyes.

When and Where? I'm Down. Me and another 335i Sedan where on 540 a few minutes ago and it was fun hanging out with a fellow 335i owner on the highway. We were cruising at 85 mph.

planning a trip to raleigh next sat, dec 4th. as of now we're planning on leaving here (fayetteville) about noon and heading to crabtree valley mall to eat at cheesecake factory. I'm also trying to find out if theres a meet a briar creek? I've heard they do something the 1st sat of the month but trying to confirm this..

Cars-n-coffee every 1st Saturday of every month (weather permitting). Meet up in the parking lot across from Barnes-n-Nobles. Once you get there, you can't miss the spot. Most people show up around 9-ish and leave around 11-ish.

95N - 40W - 540 (not sure which N,S,E,W but it's the only exit for 540 as that's where it starts) - Lumley Rd exit - turn left at the stop sign - take first right into shopping area (if you miss it, turn right at the stop light which is Brier Creek Pkwy). Go to second entrance (on the right) into the shopping area and either look for Barnes-n-Nobles or follow the exotics, tuners, muscle cars driving through.

The address for B-n-N out there is 8431 Brier Creek Pkwy Raleigh 27617. Also look for The Vitamin Shoppe or a small sandwhich shop called Camilias (or something like that).

yea, I'm trying to.. I still have not received a conformation from a few people. I told them I'll wait untill tomorrow, but yea I want to do the briar creek morning then cheesecake fact for lunch.. what you think??
