Same DAT. Have tried mounting a badge on the boot but the place it needs to be is curved. Can get CF boot lid with an indent for the roundel but the brand that has this does not fit as well as the eurodivision boot lid. #Moddingtradeoffs

Gary has been in the wars lately

First a guy backed into me in a car park. Stupid Moron.... Lucky only damage was the number plate frame.
Cost of new frame from SCA = $35

Second the front roundel flew off while driving down the freeway
Cost of cheap Ebay roundel = $16

Third smashed the front lip during the Tassie cruise last weekend Lasted longer then expected tbh.
Replacement lip from Maxton design = $ TBA

F$@ken hell socks. You kill a black cat while smashing a mirror under a ladder or what ?

Recommend biting the bullet and get the flow design splitter. Those things are a solid block of poly

2019 Tassie Cruise

The yearly Melbourne cup weekend cruise have been held for the past four years, Last year was through the Victorian Alpine ranges and this year is was back to Tassie

Big call out to Vince (Vtl) for organising and for all the guys (and gals) that came along, including Quang, Juan, Joe and Frank from Sydney. Regulars Vu, Vince and newbies Peter and Misty. Tassie based Brad, Roger and their wives, who joined in on the trip

Was a great four days of driving, around the island, including lots of scenic twisty mountain roads, scenic twisty coast roads and scenic twisty country roads

A great time was had by all..... already looking forward to next year....

Some pics of the gang and random snaps from the trip

engine is back in the car Socks, hoping to start it in the next few days, just a few more peripherals to connect

- fit the O2 sensors
- connect the battery so I can unlock the steering
- tighten the steering column, fitted it tonight
- get the subframe bolted up properly
- fit the heat shield on the turbo side
- fit the intake manifold
- fit the throttle body
- fill it with oil
- connect the remaining electrics
- crank is a couple of times with plugs and injectors disconnected to get the oil pressure up
- start it

- then I'll get to fitting the cooling system, front end of the car, intercooler and some other stuff

- then I'll actually be able to drive it again

It is a small world Socks. Back in 2015, a road trip was organised by Paul Young on behalf of BMW Club Qld to go down to the north Victoria area, Snowy and coastal area south of Sydney prior to attending the BMW Nationals in Sydney. A couple of NSW members joined us. One of these was Quang in his modified 1M. He was a great fellow and it was a pleasure having him join us for the week. We covered nearly every windy road there was in the area which resulted in me having to buy a new set of tyres when I got back to Brisbane.
