That's not entirely fair - they've released the stage1+FMIC map and the beta .400/401 maps recently.

If recent updates means for you they have to release something every couple of weeks or so, I believe you have unrealistic expectations.

That being said, I'm also waiting on the race maps to be released, so I can certainly understand your impatience.

Stage 1 is for just the Cobb AP flash, stage 2 requires downpipes. You're talking about Drive vs Sport vs Aggressive. I'd stick with Stage 1 Sport if you wanted to keep it safe.

I use to take it as is for oil changes. It's quick, they don't drive the car. If you're sure it's only an oil change don;t bother.
if you're not, uninstall...

Mine is an '07, it's out of warranty so most of the time I walk in with mods (just because I can )

The only time I uninstalled COBB is when I brought it in for the HPFP recall.

do you still have warranty?

i thought it takes at least ~150 miles for the car to adapt? but will doing a few 3rd gear WOT pulls then letting it cool down before logging suffice for quick map testing purposes?

edit: i forgot to mention I also reset my ECU after i reflash maps. Should I stop doing this? haha

I reset my ECU after changing maps as well.
It's hard to really say how much miles you need. I usually do three 3rd gear pulls and that seem to work fine (I log all pulls). The first pull usually looks a bit awkward, the rest are all the same...

the reason i'm wondering is because, not sure if it's just in my head, but usually after I reset my ECU i have a period right after of really high boost spikes (which would make sense if the ECU is testing it's limits after a reset) and then it's normal for the most part after I've driven it for a bit.

well let it adapt and log. Then without changing maps, reset the ECU and log again and compare the data. This would let you know if your hypothesis is true
I'm not really an expert on what adaptations are reset, but I don't see any spikes

also remember to let car reset it's diagnostic routine with a/c enabled. current bmw service guidelines have them checking for completed self diag.

Interesting, never heard of this. Can you shed more light on this?

This has probably been answered already so I apologize in advance. I got another 335i today and want to go Cobb tune on this one so that it can be tuned and so that I can stack Cobb and JB4 on my xi. Is this possible or does it VIN-lock to one car?

you can install cobb only on 1 car . to install it on another you need to uninstall it first.

little question to everybody:

how does the newest hpfp pump #13517616170 work with Cobb Stage2+FMIC (or more powerfull stage)?
is the 13517616170 pump really same as in 1M? if so it should be good enough

i might have my 11/2006 original pump which is now at dealer to be changed

looks like newest pump is 13517616446 and not 13517616170 (which is listed at realoem & N54 wikipedia)
