Fun fact, 09 was the only year you could get an M Sport with high roof rails from the factory. I prefer these over the slim rails. My 11 was ordered with deletes but I toy with putting high rails on.

Yeah, definitely has crossed my mind with doing a 6MT even more so now that I have two...maybe worth doing the swap on the AW w/Oyster since its RWD and low miles at 28k miles

Funny how you like high roof rails but I like the low profile but seeing the Oyster ordered with roof rail delete I like how clean and sleek it looks. However, the high roof rails I think complements the body line/shape of the car and completes the look.

I'm doing the opposite: found a 6MT in my ideal colour combo and hoping to add an M Sport kit.

It will probably cost more than your tranny swap though!

Raised rails FTW! Couldnt agree more - especially if you want to rock a box and have it low slung. Raised rails let you put whispbars on and keeping your setup as low as possible, tucked between the rails.

I don't think it's too unreasonable, given how many of these spring up. And I don't consider 100k to be very high mileage for these cars, given how high we know well-maintained N52s can go.

The AW over Oyster is home, so doing the first rounds of low mileage maintenance @28k miles to keep up with the stacks of service documents from BMW since new.

Also, installed the first mod...335is pedals

Build will be slightly differ from the AW over Saddle that I want keep the mods very subtle but classy.

Next would be the replacement/refresh of all fluids.

and if I find a AW 6MT, I’ll be there in the action. This AT AW over Oyster was very attractive with very low miles, RWD, one owner and documented service from BMW since new I couldn’t pass on. Perfect candidate for a 6MT if and when I’m ready.
