bolted or 3m tape?
It's a direct fit with screws. No need for tape

Sold my 2013 335is 6mt over the weekend. I'll be selling my Cobb AP v3, AFE stage 2 intake, and ledermanz performance steering wheel for 6mt if anyone is interested.

You can't say you sold your car and then not tell us what you got.

On work computer, so will continue to be worthless without pics, but switched to a 2012 M3 DCT.

So was it worth the switch in your opinion? For dd or are you tracking also?

Interesting. Now I'm looking forward to your reasoning and experience with making the switch.

Looks good . Nice paint on it too. That's the lip I plan on getting also, but leaving it cf to match the rear wing

So I'm just now seeing this thread. I picked up a 2011 335is a couple of months ago. Only mods are JB4 + BEF and DCI for now. Been to the 1/8 mi a couple of times. How are you guys launching your cars? Any of you use LC at the track? I tied LC at the track on street tires but at a 5k launch, I just blew the tires off as expected. So I picked up some Mickey Thompson ET Streets and put them on some style 264s I picked up for free. I'm gonna give the 5k LC a try this weekend with the MTs. Just mashing the gas at the light sucks for 60' times.

Mostly dd and weekend duties. I split commuting duties between my car and my wife's diesel X5 to keep miles down on both since she has a company car she is required to drive, so can't really give dd impressions. I like the dct and in retrospect should have gotten it on my 'is, although I really wanted to get back into a manual car when I bought it. Gas mileage will certainly suffer in the M3, and the X5 will be the undisputed mileage king in our garage (around 25 mpg). The 'is is probably a better daily driver if I'm honest because the torque is always available but mine lost points for being a 6mt with a long commute every day.

These are just my impressions so mileage will vary, but when driving them back to back, the best way I'd describe it is that everything in the M3 felt 10% better to me. I've always wanted an M3 and I didn't want to miss the chance to have that incredible V8 in my life. Since I don't really track my cars it was always going to be a choice on taste.

TLDR: Yes it was worth it because its an M3. I loved my 335is but I wanted an M3, and it was never going to be one. The heart wants what the heart wants.

I have both...no competition from my G37x in sport mode. My is automatic with DCT so it shifts faster than I ever could.

Can't fault you at all switching to an m3, especially with another dd in the family. Glad your heart is now content haha

With the tune off, no launch control but in sport mode.

Takes it off the line every time.

Well, there are only two ways to launch the car. Just mash the gas on go, or using LC. 5k RPM LC is useless on street tires, so really just mash the gas. You can't brake boost these cars. As far as shifts, no real need to rev out past 6k on these cars with stock turbos. I shift at 6k. Just launch in S1 and manually shift at 6k.

Flash the 135is TCU flash and try the 3500 rpm launch point. Do you still have the ZB # and instructions I posted on the other forum?
