My friend lives on the upper east side so I think shed want to stay in the area. My dad said he could get me a subsidized apt for like $800-1000 but id be living amongst the peasants.

lol! My father's rent in Chinatown is $150/month for a 2 bedroom apt. Right smack in the middle of Chinatown on Mulberry St. between Bayard and Canal St.

For that price Ide take it. Plus i dont think they are all peanants. A friend of mine lives in a nice building and he apt is subsidized. but not all the apts in that building are. plus its all about living in city when you are young .
