I mean, sort of his fault, no? He turned down Ferrari’s initial offer and if we were to some what believe the rumours, he was asking a bit too much from the other interested teams. Besides, from what we know now, looks like it would’ve been a very short stint at the other teams with younger drivers on the come up.

some rules are stupid but this rule is as stupid as stupid gets

maybe they should just weigh the car without fuel and wheels/tires before the race, maybe after qualifying ...

As far as I know , the Red Bull Team got in 2023 for the constructors world title $185 Million (!)
I'm pretty sure ,that's a lot of Mexican KitKats my friend.

The Red Bull Team will lose the constructors title because Checo drives like a Fking idiot.

I doesn't make sense and I just don't get it ...

He only has himself to blame. His opportunity to sign with a top team peaked after the Australian GP, but he wanted to hold out looking for top seat opportunities. Subsequent to all of this his results started to drop back to normal and he hasnt really had a great race since. The continued waiting only left fewer and fewer seats. It will be interesting to see two solid ex RBR, ex Max teammates at Williams.

Interesting that he turned down Audi though. It does sound like a vote of no confidence in Audi’s project.

The stats prove that aside from the cheating scandal with Renault, and his years with MB, when there was actually competition and parity in the sport, he has struggled mightily to win. In those roughly 170 races he has only 15 wins across 9 seasons. Max has more wins from 2016-2021 and never had the best car in any of those seasons - roughly, on average, the 3rd best . At the same point in both careers, Max's numbers are better. And he has not had nearly the dominant level car which tells you quite a bit.
He had the best car in 2021 - in fact, remove that from measure and recalculate those numbers again.

Redbull still has the fastest car - and Max hasn't won in 4 races.

The Mclaren is the fastest car.

They have the best tire deg, which translates to better race pace.

The issue is their strategy department, and Lando.

If Max isn’t winning, RB doesn’t have the fastest car. He’s the best, and the massive time differences between him and Checo prove that.

Max has the fastest car, but he's not winning. But Checo is a reliable baseline to make that distinction that it's "The Max factor"

My guy has gotten beat by the slower cars 3 times in a row.

No argument about Lando, he was second to Sainz until he got a faster car. But Back to Max, what's his excuse?

I see that the Max vs Hamilton debate has not ended.

One thing I will say for sure, Max vs Russell is not going to be as close as Hamilton vs Russell in the same car IMO.

Arguably 9. Only reason he didn't win his rookie year was getting stuck in the gravel in the pit lane at China.

Then again, it could be said he stole the victory away from Massa the next year, which would have put him back at 8 if we say that Massa really should have won and Lewis got lucky. Either way he has 7 and was a whisker away from 9. Pretty damn impressive. And his championships have been with two different teams.
