I just came back to the forum today because my NAV disc cracked, and this thread is exactly what I was looking for. Glad to see you guys are still on top of everything!

The download speed is REALLY slow, if you guys can help me out and jump on with a few more seeds that would be great.

Even better if anyone is in NYC or North NJ and can burn this for me, that would be even better. PM me if that is possible...

Its downloading REAL slow still. been downloading since last night and I'm only 300mb or so down. I'll seed it for a while when I'm done with it, but can anyone else with it and a fairly good upload speed seed for a little?

probably a lame burner with lame media.

high reflectivity media toyo and the type (DVD-R) or (DVD+R)

and the quality of burner.

99% its the quality of the media though.

I burned mine on Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5GB at 8X using a pioneer 111 which is known as one of the best xbox360 burners

also did a mp3 dump of my old 8gb ipod so i can listen to tunes. plays fine.

make sure if you burn you have a good burner that does DVD-ROM BOOK type automatic or by selection.

they probably don't know how to configure:
1. inbound port on their router (or upnp)
2. transport encryption on

basic computer stuff.

If you still have it and we can work out how to get you the money, I'd like to discuss how much. Please PM me if you have it and how much you want. I am going to start downloading later today and keep it seeding for a couple weeks to help with the speed,

Yeah, definitely slower. Also, when I say "enter address" on voice command, it will say "option not available" at times... wierd. not consistent.

Didn't have this problem with 2007.2.

This was also a problem with the European 2008-1 SatNavPro DVD, unless DVD+R or DVD+RW media was used at a lower (x4 or less) burn speed.

The current 2008-2 European SatNavPro DVD is now a dual layer disc, so the lack of any re-writable DL media means that burning needs to be done a little more carefully.

All the best.

I downloaded the 2008.1 using the link in this thread and burned it @ 4X on a DVD+R using ImgBurn as someone suggested. It is giving an error everytime i try to look up a place or enter an address and asks me to reinsert the DVD. The map display works fine. Seems to be partially corrupt. Any thoughts? Any special setting I need with ImgBurn?

nero 6.6 is like the best burner ever.

use good media man. Verbatim dvd+r is good stuff. Make sure your using a reasonably up to date burner as well with the latest firmware. The dvd-burner firmware has maps of all known media for best strategy to ensure the burn is good quality.

xbox 360's are really finicky too you can find many threads on what to buy for media and the best burners to use.

most BT clients i hear do an integrity check at the end of the transfer complete.

Another suggestion to try different types of media and brand names.
I burned my first copy on a TDK DVD-R and it worked, very slow, but it worked.

Then I started getting "DVD Read Error" or "Please insert navigation DVD" messages on a daily basis.
I burned the DVD again using the same brand, TDK, but at the slowest speed I could set Nero to (2x), but I was still getting the error messages. Switched to a Sony DVD+R with the same outcome.
Last, I bought a Maxell DVD-R and burned at the slowest possible again, this time for some reason, Nero gave me a 2.4x speed as the lowest setting and it has now been almost a week and no errors and definitely much faster.

The lesson again is to try different brand names and the slowest burn speed possible until you find what works for you.
