very small progress between the last post, only I can say that both motherboards are working correctly the only issue I think for now I have is the cluster problem from the cas module.

How is the ACC bracket installed behind the bumper? I'm attempting to do the install on my e92 335i but it's not clear how it should be mounted, are the supposed to be some holes for the bracket or do I have to drill some holes myself?

Should already be drilled for the bracket. Should fit right in place like a puzzle

Ok that's what I thought, thanks for confirming my suspicion.

I think I figured out what the issue is, the previous owner installed a M sport bumper but didn't install the m sport radiator/core support. And when they trimmed the non-m sport radiator support they must have cut away the ACC mounting holes.

I drilled new holes and I think I got it pretty close to where it is supposed to sit but it does sit a bit too high so that it's not centered in the grille cover. I'll see if it causes any issues or if it's just cosmetic once I finish the wiring.

Why why they would cut it must hav been aftermarket design, cause msport and non m sport should fit without cutting

It seems that you need to cut it to fit the brake ducts, on pre-lci at least. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=8140019

Yeah, but like I said it's not perfect and I feel that the bumper doesn't fit quite right so I think I'll buy the proper m sport radiator support along with the correct panels when I have a chance. But at least it's documented in case someone else runs into the same issue as I.

Has anyone made a comparison between the different A brackets for E92/e93 and e90?
(66316769269 and 66316769132)
I got the E90 version with my acc sensor and I was told that the e92/e93 version is no longer available when I tried to order it. But I was able to purchase the e92/e92 version of bracket B.

I'm using the e92 version of bracket B with the E90 version of bracket A to push the sensor farther down, even though the holes don't match perfectly.

I've attached pictures that compare the e92 (66316769270) and E90 (66316769133) versions of bracket B.

Hi everyone. I’m lucky enough to get started with the Acc retrofit on my 2010 e90 328i.
But have some big troubles from start.
I can’t figure out what’s wrong with, the parts were taken from e91 pre lci. So the problem is that the ACC radar does not fit in my LCI M sport bumper. There is a huge gap between the decorative frame circle window and the ACC sensor itself.
I can’t adjust enought to solve this, and I can’t find differences between ACC brackets, catalog says that they are common on all e9x models, no matter M sport or not, lci or pre-lci.
I need help, if you have ideas, please let me know.

I think you might be running into the same issue as I, which I posted about just above.
You need to get a m-sport radiator/core support, or you can modify it to fit.

Kinda neat that this retrofit is becoming so popular all the sudden.

Can anyone measure the ID of the surround trim? Ill have to make a custom one for my M3 style bumper. I'm thinking 2.5in should be enough but would like to double check. Thanks in advance

Hello everyone, I am also considering retrofitting the ACC to my 335xi. Does anybody know if the Sensor 4037161 (-01) does fit the e90 platform? I cannot find this number anywhere on sites like realoem.

Hey man, thanks for the reply. I have seen that post, yes. And if you believe it or not, but this is actually the only place on the whole internet where someone mentioned that number. Can't find that number on realOEM or what not.
I have seen, that in your posts, it is listet under the e9x platform. However, I asked the seller of the item and he told me, that the sensor comes from an e61 (which confuses me even more). Since the parts are more expensive nowadays, I am not sure if it's worth to save 100€ over here in germany, risking that the sensor might not fit. The sensor als does not has the brackets attached (wouldn't fit anyway since it is from an e61). And as far as I understood, one of these mounting brackets (66316769269) is not available anymore for the pre LCI e92.

Part: 61131378906 Double leaf spring contact 0,5-1,0MM²

I didn't cut any of my wires are used these pins and connectors to tap the existing wires shown in the first few pages of this thread:
61131393723 Contact pin MQS 0,5-0,75MM² /SN
61131393724 Socket terminal MQS 0,5-0.75 MM²/SN
61136931929 Universal pin terminal uncoded
61138377072 Universal socket housing uncoded 3 POL.

LDM connector:
61138364666 Universal socket housing uncoded 18 POL.
61138364662 Universal cover cap, uncoded 18 POL.

You will need a good crimp tool the goes down to AWG24 and make sure you buy extra pins because you'll break a few in the process.
Appreciated! Guy said the donor went into cube already and I'm only getting the units I requested without connectors.

Does "61131393724 Socket terminal MQS 0,5-0.75 MM²/SN" go with LDM connector?

Can LDM connection be branched without cutting into CANH, CANL, 15WUP?

Browsed through the thread but cannot tell if I saw information about brancing from excisting connector to LDM.

**Edit: There is FRM method in ~page3 where pins are pulled from FRM(with adaptive headlights only) for making branching.

There seems to be a small gotcha when downgrading SZL from 06 to 05.
There is 2 key keying system in the connector. Airbag socket in SZL is missing a key.
Thought about cutting the key off from connector, but I think there might be some profound reason for such mechanical incompatibility.
I think I'll try to install the CC stalk to the original SZL.

If you have no CC stalk you cannot install CC stalk to your existing SZL, but new SZL with CC stalk is required. In photo there is no connector for flatflex cable and at least one what seem to be passive component is missing by quick look. I will try swapping clocksprings now.
E: It seems connection to steering wheel is a whole separate system with it's own connector pushing out of the backside of SZL.
EE: Only airbag wireharness signals go out from back. Others are connected to SZL.
EEE: Success. Problem was the clockspring being different.

Hello,

If someone has interested in ACC I have a full set of retrofit kits.
If someone wants can send me a private message, I am gonna send you my email there and pictures of how my ACC is working.

I have a full set to go back to normal cruise control my original set up and sell my car and buy a car with this option.
