At this point I think the only source for the manifold is the dealer. I am not sure if a VIN was required as I didn't have anything to do with the prior one, but I don't think so since Fin was able to get his pretty easily (aside from the long wait that I heard about, and apologize as well) I will look into it this week, hopefully by Monday have some good solid info...no promises but I do promise to work on it!

What is the part number of the manifold I would need to do this mod? My neighbor is the parts mgr for a large auto dealer network here in chicago (one of them being BMW). I'll give him the part number, and he should be able to tell me how much it costs and if I need a VIN# or not to order it.

*NEWS*
I wasnt' sure whether I should start a new post on this or not, but I just got the latest issue of Bimmer (June 07) and there is a E90 325i that's been modified Turner/Hartge with the 330i manifold and software. They were able to get the power up to the exact 330i's power. Anyone else seen it? |

even though i am anticipating the conversion....thats a little over my budget lol....would be better to trade my car in for a 330 for that much money! Creative may be able to just get us the software+Intake Manifold for Much Much less...hopefully less than 1500...(wishful thinking!!)

Looked into it lightly this week. parts are def not cheap. I'm trying to see if i can find another way to get the intake manifolds. What exactly would i need besides the manifold and the motor actuators?

That's pretty much it, along with the ECU retune. The questions is, will the manifold be the same as the OEM unit or will this be aftermarket. If OEM, will this be widely available to everyone without jumping through hoops in the ordering process? Also, can you give us a ballpark around how much at this point? If it's anywhere near $3-4k then it might be just a little too expensive IMHO
