172,000 on my 330xi 6 speed manual. Rides fantastic. Had to put 2k to 3k in repairs for each of the past 2 years, but it's paid off and new car loan payments would be much higher.

My E91 built 6/2008 just reached 170,000 miles. Just replaced wear and tear items (tires, brakes, serpentine belt/tensioner, spark plugs). Adopted BMWCCA Preventive Maintenance Plan when the original warranty expired after 17 months. Replaced water hoses at 152k as a precaution.

Figured I'd update. 261,600 as of Friday. I think the eccentric cam sensor is going, or maybe a cam position sensor. Have a slight rough idle. Still getting excellent fuel mileage, last two tanks were 28+ MPG.
After 261K I still love driving this car. |

That is a milestone! I love seeing these motors go on and on! Ever had to replace a valve cover gasket?

As of today my '06 325i is just about to flip 121K. I bought it a couple years back at 54K and the rest is history...our history. I love my runt and I think it loves me too! Aside from the typical maintenance issues which were immediately addressed as they arose, I've not suffered anything out of the ordinary. The N52 is no N54, but it's a solid piece of german engineering and we'll see these cars on the highways and biways for years to come.

I drive at least 80-90 miles a day figuring in my commute + errands around town. I push it constantly, have been for the last 66K miles and I've owned it almost 2.5 years. My experience is, YES, it's reliable. So long as peeps know what lay ahead maintenance wise and prepare accordingly for it, everything should be ok. Skimp or skip past mechanical items that should be addressed however miniscule it is and at some point it'll bite you in the ass. Thankfully, I've no teeth marks on mine.

Maintenance is a huge factor. But the cars are very reliable just quirky sometimes. Also be careful who you buy from. I hate to say it but there are certain signs you have to look for. ex. when I was looking at 328's recently one guy said "Its a V-6, lots of power!" No records and also thought BMW meant British Motor Works.... not kidding

85,000 miles...I've had lots of problems recently. 81,500 new battery, 81,600 ECU Box fan replaced, 83,595 Eccentric shaft sensor, Cyl 4 misfire coil changed, valve cover gasket, starter was just changed at like 84,000 miles, and I'm bringing it tomorrow for a passenger side headlight failure...Fortunately I didn't pay a penny for any of this because of my warranty but still...pain in the ass.

103,000 miles on my '07 328i sedan. Only big problem so far was valve cover gasket. Otherwise runs as good as new. Feels like it's getting better with age, like a fine wine. Question to the group: has anyone with automatic transmission had their AT fluid changed? I'm not having any problems with my AT, but thinking it's probably time to do the fluid/filter change, even though BMW calls it a "lifetime fluid".................

62K and change. Planning to change out all fluids soon (tranny, diffs, transfer case) and I'm due for front brakes soon which is expected. Rear brakes still have 8 mm on the pads. Bought CPO in January of this year with 41K. Love the car and it still feels new.

almost 69k on mine. bought it with 60k back in april. this car is awesome. i plan on driving it til the wheels fall off. maintenance isnt a big issue for me since i work on cars for a living.
acceleration can be a little slow sometimes but i guess i can sleep and night knowing i dont have to worry about injectors, turbos and high pressure fuel pumps failing
