^^^I like that look! Shooting landscape wide open can have neat effects.

Just got back from the airshow. My face got sunburned, and had too much overpriced show food (and beer), but between my buddy and me, we managed to fill two 32gig cards. Felt like a kid again.

Great shot, Ed. But that's a *lot* of processing to do.

Not with the file size on his cameras Mark.

Looks like a nice spitwad chucker and I like the background. A10??

Have fun.

I would only process the top 10% and then use presets where lighting is similar between shots.

Oh yeah. I have about 2600 shots. A lot of those though, were of prop planes, so we were using a pretty slow shutter speed, which means I am expecting a good number to be out of focus and just deleted right on the spot. Then there will be a lot of duplicates, so I just have to be ruthless on the screening and delete ones that I don't need to keep. I'm brewing my coffee right now, and downloading the last CF card into lightroom. I will be working on these for a week probably. And I am still going out this afternoon in search of raptors

Being ruthless is the key. I used to have trouble with deleting a good shot that was a duplicate, but now I look hard at them once, pick the best one and move on.

^^^Nice! I really like the second one.

Yes I must be ruthless. Somehow we managed to shoot 3074 shots between three cameras.

That's a lot of drive space that I need to pare down to maybe 100 shots that I would deem keepers. I did improve my prop blur skills from the last time out, which makes me happy though.

Nice prop blur, Ed. I'm bummed they scrapped plans for the local airshow here for two years. I really wanted to get more practice with panning and prop blur.

DC, that second shot of the robin is outstanding. So sharp.

Wow, some stunt pilot crashed and was killed at the show at Travis today. Hate to see that happen.

Thanks Mark.

Ed, perfect prop blur.

Yeah that is a major bummer. The guy was 77 years old, which seems to me a bit old to be doing highly dangerous flying. I didn't actually watch him perform yesterday, as to be honest, I don't really get into the old biplanes doing endless loops and spins, so I was eating before the Thunderbirds performed.

He was a local guy here (HalfMoon Bay), so I am sure I will see a lot more about him in the next few days. This is the second crash in the area in a week. Two planes coming back from a HalfMoon Bay show collided over the bay last weekend, sending one into the drink.

I've heard the killdeer call so much that I'm sick of it.
