Not an E91 but the dream of E36 touring ownership can be yours for the low price of $5,000! Comes with heaps of complimentary rust at no extra charge 😂

This wagon has never been used as a postal vehicle and has ZERO postal route miles on it. Hahaa, guess it wouldn't be a concern if not for the dealer name?

Thanks, I appreciate the comment. There are a couple of blemishes, but I've already done the water pump, thermostat, and starter and I really like the car, which is why I'm not working very hard to sell it. -Michael |

@ihbase the real question is: what would you replace it with?

4doors: That is THE question. And I do not have a good answer. The e91 is so good at so many things, which is why I'm mixed about selling mine.
There are no good replacement options. The f31 feels like a lumpy appliance and the g2x is painfully ugly. I rescued an e46 from a friend that I'm using as a daily for errands. It is not worth anything and I like the steering, 3.0 I-6, and the switch gear, so I keep it around against my better judgement. But it probably isn't a long distance daily when things open back up. I expect a CEL any minute now. If I were smart, I'd sell it while it doesn't need anything. I'll probably stick with a 10-year-old 335d when things open back up. I don't like the transmission, but it's a great road car for long miles; Easy high-speed, very long range, good steering feedback, endless torque, sounds good, smells good, and well-sorted. It is old enough that no one notices it and it isn't worth much to the market- so I might was well just keep the 335d and run it. It feels like an honest piece of equipment. Perhaps LCI e91s seem to be holding value these days because there is no obvious honest replacement. Maybe if BMW imported a 3.0 estate again- things would be different. Instead, they are selling "competition" SUVs... If money were no object, I suppose an RS6 Avant. But I do not have RS6 money sitting around. So I don't have a good answer. |

@ihbase That was a great explanation of your current feelings of the E91. I agree about the more current generations (F and G series) not being as driver friendly/fun. One thing to note, if you get tired of the E91 but enjoy your 335d...swap the Diesel engine into the E91.

Meanwhile, I'll stick to old things that are (mostly) already depreciated but require service. So, sorta like a new Alfa, but with less depreciation. If I were smart, I'd buy a Camry. Or maybe a manual trans Accord. And spend the savings on old motorcycles. |

Based on the 2011 M Package, 69k mile MT that sold on BaT today for $27k, this car could easily go for $21 or $22 on BaT. I'd submit and see if they take it. Very pretty color.

Fortunately, at that price, it might as well be an aircraft. Maybe they will be more approachable in 3 years as lease returns. -Michael |
