my brake is acting kind weird lately

sometimes when i try to start up the car, put my foot on the brake pedal, it is soft and presses down

but for about 10% of the time it is stiff as if you press on brake when the car is no running and the pump fills up

is this normal???

when it's soft, lift ur foot off and press brake again, it should be stiff again.

sounds normal

yeah, but some times it is stiff without me pressing the brake when i step into my car.

when you first start the car in the morning its going to be hard because there is no vacuum but there is built up pressure from you stepping on the brake...normal

but if youre driving the car and the brakes feel spongy you may have air in the lines....are they always spongy? is the pedal travel further than usual?

nothing when im driving

it is just weird when it sometimes it's stiff and sometimes it's soft when i start up the car in the morning
