A question from a friend who has a 5-series (E60), I hope I can explain this, he asked me in Finnish and I need to translate:

He wants me to buy PIAA High Intensity LED Angel Eye Upgrade to him. He just doesn't know is it possible to put it on to his car because...

"I have stock halogens. I am planning to install OEM Xenon head lamps (for -04 530D) and after market xenon bulbs on the car. I will not do a full retrokit which would include recoding the iDrive and installing the automatic headlight height adjustment, I will just put on the light bulbs and freeze the height adjustment onto one place. So, is it possible to install the IAA High Intensity LED Angel Eye Upgrade like that?"

I don't know if that makes any sense, my "car part English" is not perfect yet

there is a way around it, similar to how the E90 guys swap headlights to Xenon....involves some wiring changes and as far as I know, A.L.L.A.N got it running quite well, but they just dont auto level or turn, as his car didnt come with that option.

Sure.. I did it to my E90. It says it can replace the halogen bulb for the angel eyes.
