Thanks bro. I was thinking about what I was gonna make this next challenge. Weebl had me thinking of something more...well, challenging. I'm a huge foodie and that's gonna be the theme for this next one.

NEXT CHALLENGE:

YOUR E9X PICTURED WITH SOMETHING THAT HAS BEEN FEATURED ON EITHER ANTHONY BOURDAIN'S NO RESERVATIONS OR ANDREW ZIMMERN'S BIZARRE FOODS SHOW ON THE FOOD NETWORK OR FEATURED ON A GORDON RAMSAY OR MARIO BATALI SHOW. IT CAN BE AS EASY AS TAKING A PICTURE OUTSIDE A RESTAURANT OR WITH AN EXTREMELY BIZARRE/WEIRD FOOD ITEM THAT MOST PEOPLE WOULD NOT WANT TO EAT/TOUCH.

Some help/ideas:

1) Here in Seattle, Tony went to Mario's father's deli, called Salumi. Pic outside.
2) Mario has many restaurants in NYC. Tony started @ Les Halles
3) Both Tony and Andrew have pretty much been all over the world, but Cyprus for Panicos might be a little more of a challenge. Panicos - research either show for ideas - I know it's not impossible bro. Take a pic with a sea squirt - that was from the Mediterranean in 1 episode.
4) London should be a cinch for mv57 in London
5) New Orleans is definitely doable for Sara - all 4 chefs have been there.
6) Canada has been covered by all chefs as well.
7) HAVE FUN WITH THIS! Now go!

Hey homie....Tony is a huge fan of dirty water dogs and he even did an episode of going up/down the Hudson. There's nothing too fancy shmancy for this challenge!

I could get a unique local favorite found on the Rachael Ray show - that is about it. I think that will be my dinner tonight now that I thought about it.

That would definitely count! Tony also visited Turkey and that food looked delicious as well. I've had snails French style with garlic and butter and also provence-style with tomato concasse as well. Snails are also delicious when cooked Chinese style, either stir-fried with garlic and szechuan chilis or ginger/scallions and soy sauce Hong Kong style. If you like clams, conch, abalone, or mussels, then you'll like snails!

DL, what dish is it that Rachel made and that you're having for dinner? I've made several things that I saw her make before. It would have to be somewhat adventurous tho, ok?

I guess a non point contribution just for the thread.

Adventure, I would say not really. Unique and roots from where I live - yes. Spiedies.

These are NOT Shish Kabobs! We do not take kindly to that comparison here LOL.

Chicken is popular now, as it is cheap and healthy. I order the pork. Lamb is the best to use but tough to find when eating out, must make them yourself.

NICE point pickup mate! I had a feeling that you might be able to get this one. Sorry for the delay all....went out for dinner with family.

Approved! Please issue the new/next challenge.

BTW, here's a little info on the now shuttered Devonshire:

Gordon Ramsay forced to shut gastro pub ‘at wrong end of street’ in Chiswick
Genevieve Roberts
29 Jun 2010

He has a reputation for transforming struggling kitchens into successes by teaching kitchen secrets served with lashings of forthright advice.

But now Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay has been forced to close one of his own gastro pubs in London.

Ramsay, 43, is closing The Devonshire in Chiswick, as it has failed to “meet expectations”.

A spokeswoman said: “The Devonshire pub has not been meeting our expectations for a while. We have taken the decision to close it while we consider future plans, as any business would in this situation.”

The Devonshire has not reopened after a small kitchen fire last weekend.

Ramsay's company Gordon Ramsay Holdings reported a loss of £4.3 million last year. The chef's wealth has reportedly dipped from £70 million to £40 million, and after losses last year he was criticised for over-stretching his empire with four television shows and 12 restaurants.

The company is undecided about how to deal with the property and a spokeswoman said that Gordon Ramsay Holdings was "currently considering different options" over what to do with the building.

The pub, which offered starters of Cornish sardines and crisp-fried quail, and main courses ranging from a £12.50 tomato and feta cheese tart to a £24.50 sirloin steak with bone marrow, was opened in 2007 by Mark Sargeant on behalf of Ramsay. Sargeant said at the time that he knew it was “at the wrong end of Devonshire Road”.

Some 4,000 pubs have closed since 2008 as profits have fallen in the recession.

These look awesome - I've been making these for years, known in CA as spiedini's. Got a great marinade that works on both lamb and pork. I'd definitely be up to grilling some lamb ones next weekend too! Dayam, it's been awhile. Yum DL. YUM.

Not really off topic and no thread jack.

It is simple and always does well when hitting a BBQ. It made it across the coast as I thought it would in some form. Spiedini's is rather unique in the translation. You can give the history from this small corner of the northeast flavor at your next grill via the E9X photo game – Spiedie.

It goes to show that this thread is not useless fun, as most I know seem to think.....non BMW owners to be exact…...poopoo on them………
