Guys I was thinking about buying the cable but it seems the cheaper versions work either up to 03/07 or after, is the 99$ cable working with both < 03/07 and > 03/07 ?

I went through the list we have posted multiple times in this thread but there aren't features like unlock all doors when key removed and a lot of others, is there an other list somewhere ? Because I know I've seen a different list from a few years ago.

Will do! I'll call him and see when I can get it. Will let you know.
The cables are either / or, but not both. Some of the cables come with an adapter so that pins 7 & 8 can be jumper-ed or non-jumper-ed when needed. That is really the only difference. |

Ok, thanks a lot for the info. Do you have the 99$ cable or did you have success with the cheaper versions ?

I've gotten lucky with the cheaper version but not much cheaper. The first one was about $75 and the second time it was about $60. I went with it because one stop was out of cables when I got my first one, plus I'm an EE by trade. Tried to look for the seller but I don't think he's selling anymore.

Not an option, sadly. You can't do arbitrary things, you can only enable or disable an option or setting that exists already.

I was able to connect and read codes in INPA, and it brings in the VIN on NCS expert.
I was nervous going much further than there. My passenger side adaptive headlight module shorted out and I replaced it with an ebay unit- I just need to recode the module with my default values from the VO so it recognizes it. Any chance someone could do a step by step on what I should do? Car is 06/07 production date |

Not saving
Ok so im trying to code window up by fob, auto key eject, and unlock doors when key is out.
I go into Choose ECU and select CAS then process ECU and press CAS again. I then get into it read the ECU go into the FSW_PSW and change the values to aktiv save it and then save it as all files and overwrite. I then read the FSWPSW and code it and all is well.. Go back and process the ECU and pull up the FSW_PSW again adn the values are nicht_activ again. what gives? I also did this in the FRM and NFRM ECU and same thing happens. ER_KEYOUT_AUTOVR KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB ER_KEYOUT_AUTOVR I have a 2011 E90. Thanks! |

So Im trying to recode an adaptive headlight module to my car to replace a shorted one. I cannot for the life of me get the coding to take. Every time I get the following errors:
I can read the VIN, ECU's, everything fine. I click execute job and it goes to coding active, then just errors out with coding is faulty. Ive tried two different cables. Two different laptops. Same results on other modules as well. Tried various profiles. If anyone can please help me get this module coded I would be GREATLY appreciative [20:29:57.468] [2014-02-06] [SERIE] 2020 PABD/CABD A_SMCKWR.IPS CodIndex2Lesen 495 [20:29:57.468] [2014-02-06] [SERIE] ECU does not answer FRM_87, ID_SMC_LESEN: ERROR_ECU_BUSY_REPEAT_REQUEST [20:29:57.562] [2014-02-06] [SERIE] 2020 Error COAPI2.CPP coapiRunCabd 6 [20:29:57.562] [2014-02-06] [SERIE] ECU does not answer CODIERINDEX_LESEN ================================================== ==============================(2) [20:30:29.812] [2014-02-06] [SERIE] 2020 PABD/CABD A_SMCKWR.IPS CodIndex2Lesen 495 [20:30:29.812] [2014-02-06] [SERIE] ECU does not answer FRM_87, ID_SMC_LESEN: ERROR_ECU_BUSY_REPEAT_REQUEST [20:30:29.921] [2014-02-06] [SERIE] 2020 Error COAPI2.CPP coapiRunCabd 6 [20:30:29.921] [2014-02-06] [SERIE] ECU does not answer CODIERDATEN_LESEN |

After coding digital speed and removing idrive disclaimer yesterday, today when I tried to use cruise control it didn't work. It shows the image in the dash but doesn't show a speed.
Any way to fix this ? ideas ? |

So I just bought euro lci halogen headlights. And it looks like they have a motor for self leveling and the US spec cars don't. I have a pre-lci, anyone know if these will fit? And if they do, do I need to code something to get them to be error free?
I don't have the lights yet so if they don't fit hopefully I can get return them. The model numbers are 63117202573 + 63117202574. I've been searching all over and cant find much info. |

Not sure. I just started coding and I still am a bit lost. The next morning it was working and then later that night it wasn't working again. By image I mean that cruise image that shows up in the cluster when you activate it. It normally showed that and the speed. When it doesn't work, it only shows that and --- instead of speed.

Can you code your Angel Eyes to go brighter?
Or code the sunroof to be tilted but still able to close the sunroof blind? I didn't find it on the list. |

No and no - you can pretty easily PURCHASE brighter AE bulbs, typically LED bulbs, just search around on the forum. There are a good 4-5 manufacturers selling from the very cheap end to the very expensive. The shade lockout is totally mechanical, and also pretty reasonable I think - you wouldn't want to forget that your roof was open because the shade was cracked. Similarly, you don't want to mechanically stress it by creating, for example, suction on the highway.
