nitehawk, just wanted to double check with you about your dyno results.

Performance Mods: COBB AP, CAI, FMIC, and AR DPs + Exhaust (93 pump gas + no meth?)

I'm looking to go FBO, minus the exhaust, and thinking I'll prob lose ~15-20 whp/tq from just that

94 pump gas (yep, we have that in Ontario, Canada) and no meth.
You shouldn't lose too much from the stock exhaust, I would say no more than 15whp.

Just installed COBB yesterday. Went with the stage 4.01 maps. I started on stage 1 ST throttle sport, it was very smooth but too much power for me (not for me....for my elevation and no supporting mods) boost was in the high 14's (5000 feet). I switched over to the stage 1 drive map, stock throttle. It is not nearly as smooth. I think I may switch to the v 3.01 drive map and see how it feels.

Overall, very simple process. I like it so far. I was hoping I would be seeing 13psi max on the drive maps, but I spiked to 15.8 and held at low 14's.

My wish is the drive map with just a tick less power and better low-end response. Other then that, this is exactly what I have been wanting.

Glad you enjoy the cobb! It's refreshing to have someone who isn't looking for 800hp out of the Cobb (unlike myself :-)) and that's one of the best parts about cobb, you can switch maps very easily to find what fits you.

I switched to the v301 drive map and WOW I dont think I will be changing for a while Power spiked and peaked at 14.1 and held mid 13's.....exactly what I wanted!!! And my MPG on the highway are fantastic!! So happy with the response on it too. The v301 map was what I wanted all along.

I finally got a good kill story last night, after 5 months on stage 2+ lol.
I got a run with a Honda civic EG coupe. The car was Completely gutted(driver and passenger seat were the only things left, the dash shell was also intact, but nothing else.) I've known the guy driving for years and he's always been tight lipped about mods so the only thing I can really say with any certainty is that it was a poor man's type R with a good size .67 AR turbo on 20+psi. The car was dyno tuned about a month ago but he refused to tell me what it made.
From a ~35mph roll to ~115mph I was ahead about a car. I short shifted into 4th jumped out another 2-3 cars instantly, idk what happened to the honda all I can say is that it fell on it's face when it hit 4th gear. I wish I had a video or something but I don't
I'm FBO stage 2+ Aggressive.

if he has a real type R tranny then that explains why you pulled in 4th... those trannys are built for low end.

sorry, this may be already answered and I know i'll have to try them both out to see for my self but anyways... was wondering what is the general consensus on which map is better to run when you go Stg. 2+FMIC... stock throttle or linear throttle on a 6MT?

I know some people say with 6MT that linear throttle makes it easier to control and not break traction so bad... but just wanted to see what are some thoughts of others.

Its personal preference... I like ST over LT 6mt
Why dont you try both and see what you like?
It takes all of 2mins to switch maps...

I hope this haven't been asked before and if so... get over it (not reading 200+ pages).

Is there a way get can get a waste gate fix implemented into our maps... maybe leave them open or something? My waste gate are starting to get louder.

I prefer ST. It's way more fun but not uncontrollable once you get used to it.

You'll have to email cobb about that. They'll have to make a map specifically for your car.

You'll be fine with the aggressive map. I've been running stage 1 aggressive map with the same fuel type (90/10% ethanol) daily for the last six months with zero issues. I only use shell V-power (93) and it runs and feels like a champ. If you experience any isues with the aggresive map, just drop it down to the sport map. Good luck.

No logs for me and yes runs strong on both maps. Only two misfires encountered over the past few weeks were low speed and rpm take-offs or lane changes when I think it was fighting the TC system. Haven't been able to reproduce with DTC active or during high rpm conditions.

How do I export a 3rd gear pull (approx 1800rpm to redline) and post to see how it is looking overall? I can get it into excel, but how do I go about posting it for all to see and to tell me if it is running well? It feels great, but I want to see it and make sure in the results. I know its in the thread. I searched with thread search tool and it didnt come up

You can save it as a .txt and attach it and someone will graph it for you. Or if you graph it yourself just hit the "print screen" button on your keyboard, open the paint program and then paste it and save the image as a jpeg and then attach that.

How do I graph it myself though? It's been a really long time since I have done that in excel. Really long.

I can't remember how to graph in excel either lol
I just use the virtual dyno program http://bradbarnhill.com/projects/VirtualDyno/ and use the built in graphing feature.
