The horizontal slots allow to slide the plate left and right according to your front parking sensor. The median slots allow for altitude adjustment and the curved back allows for rotation to avoid bulging parts of your bumper.

Gotcha.

Glad I live in a place that doesn't have front plates.

And I am glad that I got over my fear of drilling holes and don't have to drive around with a crooked off-center over-engineered smacked-ass looking mount! Yeesh some of them look 20x worse than the OWM one!

Why not use magnets? Couple behind the bumper, couple on the plate mount with some felt pads. Call it a day.

Believe me, the tow hook plate comes off after the inspection. I would rather drill than have an off-center plate as well.

Because I don't want to risk scratching my bumper? Cause its easier to screw in a plate? I can think of a dozen reasons.

That's what the felt pad and clear film is for. I can't tell you of how many times I've seen people that use the tow hook mount and it ends up crooked and stupid looking.

Instead of buying shoes I decided to invest in safety. Another $182 tomorrow for conceal certification class.

Noticed Mechanix had a Valentine's Day sale and picked up a pair of gloves for my beater's safety/repair kit. $6 shipped couldn't be beat.

Not sure. I think you're safe as long as you can't see anything scary.

PM!

There's a firearms thread which the mods seem to have left us alone. I'm pretty sure, if you post it there, you should be ok.
