I stand corrected - I didn't know realoem had actual weights. Thank you.

Per realoem it says valeo headlights are 2.39kg or 5.27lb and Xenon Lights are 2.75kg or 6.06lb, for total weight difference on both headlights of 1.58lb.

However, I am not sure if the assembly weight counts xenon turn signals which are almost .5kg each, and other accompanying accessories, which are additional .5kg for total weight reduction of about 1kg per light or about 2.2lb for total of 4.4lb. Hypothetically, the total savings (turning signals+headlights) would be about 6+lb.

IMO, might not be worth it.

Have you considered swapping your headlights for regular halogen units. Apparently they might be be about 10-15lb savings per unit.
Eventually they'll get replaced with carbon fiber blankoffs when it becomes a dedicated track car.

Wait 'till you get her home and fire her up in the garage. You have very high pressure exhaust impulses + a large semi-enclosed volume (your garage) = extraordinarily powerful subwoofer.

Queue up your favorite action film and invite the neighbors.

Thinking it's going to be too loud, going to have to do something about it.

The shop ran into a problem after replacing the steering angle sensor as they couldn't load sofware with all the systems deleted so they're having their field engineer from BMW NA help. Once they get that done they can put it through state inspection and it'll be ready. Thought I'd make a list of all the changes from stock that have been done to date. The bored TB and Alpha-N tune are due to be done next as all parts are in hand, or soon will be as the TB has shipped. You mean beyond the ones already in this thread? I'm supposed to get some pictures they'll take once it's finished, whenever the hell that'll end up being. Better pictures than I can take although I'll get a night shot of the cabin like before and one of the driver's view if it's interesting.

Sorry, wasn't sure what you meant. The rolling chassis is pretty much unchanged with the exception of the Aero package and CF hood and bootlid. It should look pretty much the same with a quick look as the roll bar isn't really visible from outside with the tinted windows up. And the bootlid is painted to match on its back surface so it doesn't stand out, even the CSL contour isn't exaggerated.

I don't think I've posted this one before. No exhaust yet but otherwise pretty much what it looks like out in the daylight.

Power's pointless if you can't get it to the ground.

Are you planning on swapping for M3 steering rack? (I didn't see it on the list).

M3 steering ratio is 12.5:1
Our steering ratio is 16:1

STU class rules mandate a stock steering rack.

It's finally home

Still a few things to do, remote coding, drive cycle, inspection, new registration sticker, fix the PLX gauge, etc. but it's finished. Sound level is 83dB or so in the cabin at cruise, substantially higher when stomping the loud pedal. Idle is perfectly acceptable and shouldn't be a worry in the neighborhood at all.
