Not sure. I still like the 3. I like the CTS V coupe and the 11 Shelby Mustang. When I go to Detroit I will be looking as usual. Still not sure if I want to sell the 3 because of all the work I have done to it, but it is just sitting for the winter now and just had the clear bra redone to full hood and fenders.

So how's everyone enjoying the unusually early frigid temperatures and snow?

It sucks, but not as bad as it could be. We didn't have much snow in downtown, but I hear the snow belt got almost a foot so far. Still damn cold though...

We're finally getting some decent snow accumulation downtown... about 1" overnight.

I took these pics about two hours ago outside my building. I feel bad for the people driving home from work tonight, because it hasn't stopped snowing since I took these pics and it's significantly worse now.

Very little snow down here in Ashland compared to what I see in your pictures. No obstacles for the bimmer on blizzacks yet, although I had the washer line freeze up last night.

I've got about a foot and a half snowcap on my roof out here at Geauga Lake. Gotta love the X-drive though; it plows right through just about anything even on the stock all-seasons!
I wouldn't even need to blow the driveway except I want to keep the UPS guy on good terms ![]() |

Is it common that the windshield washer freezes? It never happened on the Audi I had last last winter even when I put in cheapest washer fluid. I just had to clear the snow away from the washer nozzles.

I wouldn't say it's a common thing. But, given the sub-zero temperatures we've been having for over one-week straight up here, it also wouldn't surprise me if it happened.

I may have found out what the problems is. The fluid level in the reservoir looked to be full. But when I started pouring more fluid just to top it off, it took in an entire 1 gallon can. I think there must've been air and moisture inside which froze the lines.

Thanks! Yeah, I think I have... I think I'll be sticking with dSLRs for now. The three main reasons for it are: 1) too expensive for me to afford an M9 with three lenses, 2) there are some design flaws with the current M9 that will hopefully be fixed in the M9.2 in two years, 3) I have a feeling I'll miss some of the telephoto and autofocusing capabilities of dSLRs.
I think the main reason is #1, because a good digital rangefinder would be awesome to have as another camera (and for traveling). ![]()

Ugh, I am sick of winter already..... I know we have crappy weather up here in northern OH but this frigid spell started WAY TOO EARLY for me. I think we saw 45 degrees on Dec 1 but have not seen much above 25 since, and a lot of days/nights in the single digits or worse!
I do like driving the 3 around in the snow with the Dunlop winter 3ds though. Add 120lbs to the trunk and it gets along and stops as well as my Grand Cherokee, almost! That being said, I jacked up two of the tires and one of the rims on a pothole about 2 weeks ago, actually split the sides of both drivers side runflat tires. I didn't know it until I got home because the tires held air despite the carnage! Then, 2 days later some idiot girl backed into me so the car is at the body shop getting a new paint job on the bumper and maybe a new adaptive headlight. Here is my front tire (yes, still holding full air) ![]() |

I won't disagree with you about the weather but then I grew up in California, so it's all new to me. The road conditions are the worst thing. I also have the Wintersport 3Ds, but on my Evo, and somehow they managed to get a big sidewall gash on one of them when they have only 2000 miles on them. Of course, they are out of warranty so now I'll be spending $500 to replace both tires on that axle before I can sell the car
![]() I was regretting not getting the road hazard insurance, but on second thought I don't think that even covers sidewalls anyway. |

There really aren't any mod-friendly dealers/SAs around here, when it comes to a JB3. Get the plug-and-play version and remove it before going into service. That way you won't have to worry about paying out of pocket for any warranty service. In my experience, BMW of Cleveland is pretty friendly with other types of mods since they are a DINAN dealer.
