Should hear the gong and the instrument cluster shows the reset menu (that's what I call it). Use BC stalk to scroll for oil indicator. Hit the BC button on the end of the stalk. Should rest now and give the next date and mileage for the next change.

Happy resetting.
Forgive me for being slow. I've tried this from your suggestion and from other DIYs I've read. Maybe I'm pressing the wrong buttons but I'm not getting that menu. Bottom left of cluster? On the steering wheel? That wld be the volume down so I doubt it's that. Then on the right side of the steering wheel bottom left is what I wld think is the circulate air button as it looks like a circle formed of 3 arrows. Last is the button at the end of the bottom left stalk. Push that in for 5 seconds?

After I get the correct button info... do I wait until after the beeping in the car stops or do I do it right after I press the start button?

Sorry to seem so slow but I have been attempting this for a week with no luck. I can get into a menu to check the oil but not to reset anything. Thank you for any help.

picked it up from Raja and learned two things

1) Leatherique is no joke. Took all the shine right off my driver's seat... well worth it. Wheel is still a little shiny but it is an 80k mile car after all... I'll keep working on it with Lexol & maybe buy some Leatherique for myself.

2) an E46 330 (what I drove over the weekend) is a nice car but getting back in a Cobb tuned 335 with FMIC is better

changed her plugs DIY, said no to the dealership's $450 quote. not a bad job at all and nothing weird happened like broken coils, rough idle, plugs broken in the head, very straightforward. Car runs the same but at least she has new spark...
