I'm going to bed early tonight that way I can be one day closer when I wake up.[/QUOTE]

That's a great idea. I'm going to take a time release sleep-aid that's good for a week. When I wake up, my car will be here!

Might as well chime in on the guessing game.

Talked to the ol' CA. He said Friday if I get lucky (which would be a Saturday delivery anyway, since he doesn't work on Friday - that would be sooooo tedious), but probably Saturday. If for some reason it doesn't get there by Saturday, then it'd be Monday for sure.

Actually, about the tedious part... I'd rather have it come in on Friday sometime, and have to wait a day, then to get my hopes up on it arriving Saturday morning.

He mentioned Thursday as a possibility too but I'm not even going to consider it. The chances for that are slim to none.

My excitement level is slowly accelerating, but I'm not all jittery yet... I'll give myself about 3 days 'til that kicks in.

I seem to be the only Freedom rider on here today, but I'll just keep posting....

For my fellow Texans, I called my CA and asked if they were required to put a front license plate on the cars when they came in because Texas law requires one. He told me they did not have to put it on, so I told him to please not put one on my car. He said that would not be a problem. Now if he remembers or not is a different story.

I have not had a front license plate on any of my last 4 cars have never had a problem here in San Antonio, I don't know about other cities.

Just thought I would pass it along because I hate the front plates.

My CA said they drill the holes when your plates come in and that I didn't have to put it on if I didn't want to.

Cool. Long story, but.....

I found this bank in CA (Kaiser Federal bank...found out about it from this board), that has a really low car loan. It starts out at 4.99%, but drops by .50% if your loan is less than 80% of the value of the car, and then drops by another .50% if you do direct deposit. I just set up a checking account, so the first available day to verify my direct deposit is this Friday. BUT, the woman assigned to my loan is out on Friday, so that means Monday. She can then overnight the check to me.

Man, if my car comes in on Friday, I'll be pissed. I waited all this time and then I have to wait until Tuesday! Maybe they will let me do a 4-day test drive?

After I told my CA not to drill the holes he wrote in *huge* lettering on the order's folder not to drill holes in the bumper. It basically covers the entire front of the folder.

Just got this reply from my CA. I think he may be a day behind, or just buying a day:

"It arrived at the port yesterday and is on a rail car to the bmw factory today. It will then be put on a 18 wheeler to come here. I would say we are about 7-8 days out. There is some variance at this point. I will keep an eye on it."

He has said July 11th for the last month, and it looks like that will probably be the case.

You have to stay all over them on the front license plate thing, since its standard procedure. For all my BMW's I've had them physically remove the front mount from the trunk the second it rolls of the truck. They they type a huge sign and puts "NO FRONT PLATE - NO DEALER BADGE" on the dash.

I took delivery of the front plate mount a day before I got the car

Wish I could do that, but I'm in San Antonio, and it's going to Houston. I really doubt he will remember.

Im pretty sure they drill the holes when you get your Texas plates so they usually don't do the holes until then. Call his arse and make sure they don't drill them holes!!

If the CA doesn't know when it was booked into VPC, then how does she know it's there at all??
I think I already had this convo with you in a different thread, but yes, that is normal for a European Delivery. Sounds like you're done with customs and now at the VPC, so it'll be on a truck soon!

I hope you are at the VPC because that means I will be right behind you. Be sure to post when you do get it as that will at least give me a couple of days of advance notice.

I still have Jeopardy music playing in my head Called the 800# this morning and they said my car was at the port waiting for a vessel. Could have swore I had been thrown back in time! I've not checked tonight. It's so close it really does not matter what the crack lines has to say now!

Mine did the same thing, the 800 # is officially useless once the car gets off the boat.
