I saw that car on facebook and was about to enquire. Then I saw you messaged and figured it was sold. Guess I was right GL with the project.
I guess this one is your track car? |

Replacing a door is super easy (a few nuts on the hinges and unplug the harness) but doing it by yourself is a massive pinta because it is so heavy to lift.... pro tip is to get a second person if you ever do this job

Hahah this is true Coupes.... I already had a 1/18 die cast as a base. It is being modded to be a mini spcgry... the guy doing the work does it for a hobby and the attention to detail is amazing. For example here are some shots of making the CSL boot .. Ill share more pics as the project progresses

Mechanical and panel repairs are complete on Gary III
New front fender and door, minor damage to side skirt and quarter panel repaired and painted. Door needs to get a fresh coat of paint to improve the colour match. Big call out to Vince who did all the mechanical work including New Oil filter housing gasket New Oil pan gasket New valve cover and gasket New transmission pan. gasket and mechatronics bits Replacement coolant expansion tank Cylinder head coolant hose connector (plastic mickey mouse one that falls apart) Engine mounts Fresh coil pack Power steering tank seal Plus probably some stuff I've forgotten All the major parts including engine, transmission, turbos etc were in great shape and didn't need anything other then new fluids Some new rubber and an alignment and all done Pics below |

Did you spray the panels yourself? Looks good in those shots.

No, I sux at spray painting Andy
Job is being done by Ben from Revive Panel Solutions, who did the repairs on my car back in May. He is swinging by tomorrow night to color match and paint the drivers side door. |
