I didn't even know until I tried to trade my car in last week. Dealer said that their is a stop sale recall on the car and they wouldn't take it as trade since they couldn't sell it and BMW doesn't have the parts to fix it.....

Well that is certainly conflicting what a dealer in St. Pete and Tallahassee told me. BMW has told dealers not to punish customers by not taking in trades. I test drove 640i in St. Pete, it was raining and the guys still got it out for me to drive and pushed hard to trade up. Said BMW has even given them incentives to make deals. So I don't think your dealer is being square with you.
Cheers

Rear Sunshade stuck in up position
My 2012 with 13000 miles has the sunshade stuck in the up position. I can hear the motor working but the shade is not working. I called bmw service and was quoted over 2000 for the repair. I've also done a google search and see that other bmws have had the same problem. Does anyone have a fix or DIY?
I hate having something on my car that is not working. |

Did you try folding it up and putting it in the trunk?

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=51_5842 There's a manual retrofit kit DIY in the DIY subforum that shows you how to get all of the panels off, if necessary. Guy in the last post here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=734113 seems to have tackled it. |

New Wheels - TPMS Question
Hi Everyone,
Recently put new wheels on my 2011 335is (will post pictures later). I was having TPMS issues so I went ahead and replaced all four with the new wheels figuring it was the batteries running low. After the initialization, I still get the same TPMS malfunction light on the dash. Is there a control unit that I can replace and does anyone know the part number or where to get one? Thanks, Greg |

I was told about it and called and they took my information and supposedly have been on a waiting list. I don't know exactly how long I have been waiting for the call but its been around 8 months lol.

I was able to get the rear sunshade to retract and will now leave it down.
1. Set in back seat with a long stick. 2. Turned power on but did not start. 3. used stick to push sunshade button on dash...hear motor turn over and sunshade make a slight movement. 4. pulled inward on side slates which moved the shade down slightly... 5. pushed sunshade button again and sunshade retracted into the rear deck. i will try and find if there is a fuse that I can disconnect to keep it from coming down again. |

I talked to someone at BMW yesterday and they told me early 2017 is when airbags will start to come in.

Question for those with e93 and (CA) Comfort Access
I have had my 2011 'is' for about 4 years now. It has always opened the top by holding the unlock and closing the top by holding the close on the fob.
Within the past couple of weeks it stopped opening, however if the tops is already open I can press the lock button and it will still close with the remote. Only thing I have noticed is I received a message on the console that there is an battery drain from a external source. I have checked to make sure the radar and any devices plugged into the lighter are removed. Since I started working from home now I rarely drive the car anymore so it sits sometimes a month or so without being driven or started. I know I need to drive it and enjoy it more ;-) also obsessed with keeping low miles. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Thank You
