Your coding profiles in NCS are configured incorrectly, NCS is returning an error when checking on load.

Google NCS profile setup & edit the profiles you need for Expert mode & Manipulation.

If you followed the three steps i mentioned earlier.. you don't have do edit any profiles or anything else. NCS expert has been hacked to bypass the password after giving an error. After you install bmw standard tools and replace all the folders with the ones I've posted.. you don't need to make or edit any profiles.

If you are following the old DIY PDF, it's outdated and more than half of it doesn't apply anymore.

Hey , i did but as others it wasnt downloading the full 95mb from the net , 85/88mb and it stopped , thus making ncs useless , i installed the drivers and softwear i got with my cable

i can now get into the coding but anything i code doesnt seam to work

when it askes for what ECU CAS,FRM or NFRM im not sure what one to pick , for doing the fold in mirrors for example i picked NFRM and then went into FRM and then went to edit my file but once i put it back on the car (id did code it as all the lights went out) still nothing ?

then for trying to set the DRL i went into NFRM again but didnt know where to go after that ?

Thanks for the info. I downloaded and extracted it but that's as far as I can go with wget.

Does anyone have just the appropriate NCSexpert Folder that they can post a link to?

Back in 2009... I used rapid share to post the files and nobody had any issues. I stopped paying for it so that's no longer option for me.

If anyone else want's to host files I'll send them your way.

The spreadsheet on Google Drive on the original post is that the latest one? I remember used to seeing one that has more details in it. Does that still exist?

Can anyone help me out here. Im trying to code to get the digital speedometer
In ncs expert i have 3 profiles ( expert mode, fsw psw man, and revtors).
I select FSW PSW MAN
Then F1
Then F3 ,
Select e89
Select cas
I get to the screen with your vin and fa click back(f6)
Get an error saying "file could not be opened for reading c:
csexpert\work\fsw_psw.man"
When i look in the work folder i only have trc files. One of which is "fsw_psw.trc".

Thumbs up http://getright.com/

I used the free version of GetRight download manager software.
That seems to have done the trick for the Final_V49 download issue.

Full download, abel to unrar and paste in to directory "satis".

Trying to recode my E36 after my 5 speed swap

I keep running into different kinds of errors.

Can anyone help me figure all of this out? What am I doing wrong?

My DIS version Coding button is grayed out.

Last night I downloaded all the files and installed according to the sequence posted in the update on the first post.

I learned that i need a new profile version. Then I prolly got confused when installing and how to exactly copy the V49 files.

Also, can i do this from 64 bit windows 7 home premium? Or do i need to use an WinXP emulator?

All i need to do is change some values on my KOMBI module so my car will think its a manual.

You need to run virtual machine with 32 bit OS.

I'm on the fence on coding myself or paying for someone to do it for me. I have a pretty good background in android rooting and rom flashing, so this doesn't seem that it would be too hard for me to grasp.

But looking over the Google Docs of the code list seems kind of very generic and limited (especially the descriptions/translations). Is there a better description somewhere that would tell me exactly what each of the codes does instead of; "folding mirrors?" I would love to be able to program the car to fold the mirrors when I lock the car via comfort access/remote also vice versa.

You don't need virtual machine anymore with the newer software. I've got it running on a standard laptop running Windows. Just need the right cable.
