So I kind of impulse reserved this one at Carmax and technically have an appointment tomorrow at 7pm. If there is any forum member who wants my place I'm happy to pass it along before I cancel!

He had it listed at 6k so I'm not surprised.

I have a 2006 325xi AUTO, Sparkling Graphite on Terra with sport interior, no iDrive coming soon. 140k miles, very nicely serviced. WBAVT13546KW22802 is the VIN for anyone who wants to decode it. I can provide Carfax for free as well. Should have it listed middle of next week.

I was looking at that last night and thinking the exact same thing.

Cool spec but $20k with 101,000 miles is ridiculous.

It won't stop until buyers decide not to purchase them anymore. It's a great looking car.

Or until someone brings back an enthusiast-oriented touring . . . Would 10-15 year old E91s be climbing in value if the F31 had been as good in steering feel and handling? Or if the G21 were sold in North America?

Also, of course, only those looking to buy lament the climbing prices of E91s. Those who have an E91 and, especially, those selling an E91 are pleased to see the climbing values.

My wish is that the pendulum will eventually swing back and someone - BMW? Tesla? Anyone? - will get into the sporty touring market again. Of course, I'm very happy with my 2010 E91 but I would like there to be an option if/when I have to replace it as my daily driver. Hmm, I wonder what used Porsche Panamera Sport Turismos are going for these days?

So few people buy Panamera Sport Turismos (unfortunately!!) that there doesn't seem to be much selection.

A dealer near me had a plain "4" with 25k on it on it for $67k and it was gone immediately.

Well it's also the fact that you're getting that touring with the nice steering and that is good to drive for 20k. I think many people would still be considering an e91 instead of a new 60k wagon

I think there's also something to be said about it being a car with a 6 cyl in a world where everything is changing to a 4. I love my clubman but I miss the sound of a true bmw in-line and a manual gearbox. Now I've got a 2.0 4 and an 8 speed auto.

I haven't driven an f30 but I heard the 8 speed is awesome. I have however driven a c class Benz with the new 4 cylinder which is supposedly somewhat comparable but it has a bit too much lag to it, guess that's just a byproduct of getting that much power out of a turbo small engine.

It's fine it really is. It's just that between the smaller engine and the more gears I don't really get to enjoy the sound of it. It would probably be a better experience if I had paddles. I thought about replacing the steering wheel and have the paddles coded in but I think I just want to move on.

I was going to write that there are - sort of - reasonable alternatives available, the VW Golf in particular, then I looked it up & VW are no longer offering the Sportwagon in the US? There’s still Audi, I guess. No MT, & the ubiquitous 4 cyl turbo. $50k. Maybe those E91 prices aren’t so out of line after all....
