So my 335is is a DCT and it has no power. When I put the key in no dings or anything, When I opened the door the window wont go up or down. It is completely dead. I jumped it for 10 minutes and nothing happened. But when I was taking off the jumper cables, I took them off the car that was giving me the jump and they touched accidentally(I didnt think the bmw had power and was being careless) and I got a spark from the cables. So from that I am assuming my battery is good and has power but its just not delivering it to my car.

Thank you, figured it out.

Had to twist the white cap off and turn the bolt below counterclock wise and you hear/feel the tranny disengage

I did RB stock location inlets and VTT outlets. Installation is a PITA but doable. I'd plan on at least a full day if you're mechanically inclined, otherwise you might want to consider a professional if you're not comfortable with difficult installs. It's technically simple but a bitch physically.

I had MMP inlets and outlets installed. I had my trusted performance shop do the install. Unfortunately, after six weeks, the outlets burst through a five-inch split in the silicone. Fix was relatively easy and cheap -- cut out the split part and replace with aluminum tubing clamped at either ends. I'm not sure if it would or would not have happened if I'd gone with another mfr -- I'm told everyone uses the same silicon source.

For those of you with a catless DP and stock exhaust, did you have your secondary cats removed as well? I'm wondering if this is the cause of the rasp issue and if it would be prevented by leaving them in.

My 1/2 mile trap went up 4 mph (with a much worse DA) and my 1/4 mile trap went up 3 mph in the only two times I've tracked it since the upgrade. I expect bigger gains with cooler weather. Significant enough for me.

Can you post video of your car from the outside driving by, revving, and one from the inside. How to see how it sounds with the vibrants on. I want to go catless DP but am in love with the stock exhaust note. I don't want to ruin the sound.

It was a Z4 35is rather than a 335is, but check out this guy's results after putting in MMP inlets and outlets on a BQ E60 tune: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1290781. A 42whp gain, and he wasn't even running full boost because he still had the stock TMAP sensor.

Not always. Replacing the mid-cats with the Vibrants did nothing to eliminate the rasp on my IS when I was running catless DPs. It also created smoke and more smell. Switching to catted DPs helped marginally, although it got rid of the wake-the-dead cold start and the smoke/smell.

I may be in the minority or perhaps even the only one, so maybe he'll be fine. I also might be more sensitive to the noise because I do a fair amount of top down driving. It sounds great at first, like a growling panther, up through around 4500 RPM, then as it approaches 5000 RPM it turns into a buzzsaw. Music on, windows up, you never hear much of anything.

^I actually enjoy the wake the dead up cold start lol. My neighbor has a Camaro SS and we both leave the house around 8:30am with loud cold starts.

A quarter inch diameter (i.e., 2.25" vs. 2.5")? I don't think so...

Not at all. Mine is much more growl-y sounding and then harsher, more metallic in the upper RPMs. If I ever get a chance, I'll video it. (Don't hold your breath, though!)

Have a DCT, car sometimes feels like its about to stall when I go after a standstill.
for example comming to a full stop and accelerating again, the RPMs sometimes bog...

Could it be the transmission or a possible leak

What's better for DCT's wet clutch longevity? Driving it in sport mode or non sport? I would assume Sport mode since there's less worry for the transmission to try and smooth out the shifts at the cost of the clutch.
