Ya, he's pretty cool, and neat how he came out of his sidekick roles and became a leading man.

I watched the new Transformers movie. Two no-name actors who didn't woo me.
Really doesn't make sense in the ethos of the Transformers universe as the first time humans as a whole should see Transformers isn't until 2007 when this movie was in the 90s.

I watch these types of movies not for the actors but the effects and action. The acting/actors would be a bonus. I enjoyed the film. |

Finding Forrester. The BMW scene is perfect for this forum.

Started a couple movies last night: "Cocaine Bear," which is a silly movie and loosely based on a true story; "Bones and All," which is kind of a sad movie.
Here are the trailers: Last edited by Esteban; 08-18-2023 at 01:35 PM.. |

It took us three days to slog through it. Sub-par acting, cheesy CGI, blatant violations of physics and a plot so poorly thought out that the screen play would have been better served if it had been written by drunken Chinese squirrels. I'll admit that I could pretty much watch (and listen) to Gal Godot read the phone book, but I thought this one was one of the most banal movies I've seen in a long time. My wife has a weakness for "shoot 'em ups", and this one even taxed *her* tolerance. It wasn't that "bad"..... it just wasn't that "good". Like the saying goes: "One man's trash is another's treasure". I guess "Oppenheimer", "Dunkirk" and "The Martian" spoiled me-- I don't watch many movies nowadays, but when I do, I want them to be excellent and well thought out. Gal Godot was roped into this one either because it was a contractual requirement or they gave her a metric ton of cash. Or maybe her own island. R.

I thought the opening sequence was over the top, the CGI was not even remotely realistic or probable. It did seem to settle down from there and turn out to be a better than average film.
